[06:57] Hi [06:58] Anyone active here, need to ask some stuff about installing edubuntu in a lab? [06:58] hi netrunner_ [06:58] highvoltage: Hi brother [06:59] It is me kamil [06:59] hi, welcome back [06:59] So yesterday I installed Edubuntu on one of the systems in my lab [06:59] yeah you said you had a problem setting up ltsp but found the problem? [06:59] in installer I selected ltsp with gnome fallback(so that it works netter) [06:59] better* [07:00] All the systems in the lab have only 1 nic [07:00] can I get ltsp working? [07:00] yep [07:00] How? [07:00] in the installer you can select the one nic you have while installing LTSP [07:00] Did that [07:00] it might warn that it's in use [07:00] but you can continue still [07:01] netrunner_: and then? didn't it get configured? [07:01] No [07:01] I skipped in Installation [07:01] could that be the reason [07:02] When I selected other machines to boot from lan [07:02] it will not pick the the image [07:03] hmm, not sure what you mean. [07:03] I mean the installation fionished [07:04] I booted the edubuntu installation [07:04] booted fine, logged in [07:04] then I booted the other systems in lab and set it to boot from lan [07:04] they should work right? [07:05] Cause in ltsp--live they worked like that, I started ltsp-live, booted other lab systems and they showed edubuntu login screen [07:06] ah right [07:06] so when you install edubuntu, there's an option that you have to enable to get LTSP installed on the edubuntu system [07:07] this one: http://edubuntu.org/sites/default/files/docimages/install-precise/030-edubuntu-options-oneiric.png [07:07] so you have to tick the "Install" checkbox there for it to work [07:07] Bro I did that [07:07] ok [07:07] so, what I'd suggest is [07:07] check the network configuration on your ltsp server, check what the IP address is [07:08] and check /etc/ltsp/dhcpd.conf to see that it's in the same range (should be 192.168.0.254 with the same range in dhcpd.conf, by default) [07:08] The network showed no wired connection, I had to create one [07:08] ah [07:08] ok, it will probably work if you set the server ip to 192.168.0.254 and reboot [07:09] I just don't remember the message it was giving in the network indicator [07:09] okay [07:09] otherwise, if you want to use another IP, you would need ot update the dhcpd.conf and run ltsp-update-sshkeys [07:10] okay I will try this [07:10] brother at what times can I find you online? I will try this and report to you. :-) [07:14] Okay brother, I will taking your leave now. [07:14] will be* [07:14] : [07:14] :) [07:14] Thanks for the help. === yofel_ is now known as yofel [15:21] herwig++ v2.6.2 ftbfs. this is a partial build log http://paste.kde.org/669782/ [22:33] i need help
