[07:25] hi , how long before *@ubuntu/member/* nick is unregistered? Is it controlled by Ubuntu IRC Council or Freenode staff? [07:26] The Ubuntu IRC Council are who make sure that Ubuntu members get the cloak. [07:27] not sure what you mean about unregistered [07:29] Freenode FAQ says : We consider IRC nicks expired after they have not been used for 10 weeks plus (at staffer discretion) one additional week per full year of registration, up to a maximum of five additional weeks. [07:29] *@ubuntu/member/* isn't a nick [07:29] but I am seeing this from the ubuntu/member --> [15:23] -NickServ- Last seen : Aug 26 07:02:08 2012 (25 weeks, 4 days, 00:21:17 ago) [07:30] what nick specifically? [07:30] I am awared that it isn't a nick .. I don't want to say whose nick is that thats why .. I am just checking why this particular nick has "last seen" value more than 25 weeks [07:32] I am checking if its Ubuntu IRC Council policy or Freenode policy so I could ask for help from appropriate dept [07:32] well without knowing specifically which nick it would be difficult to say. The reason why the nick hasn't been dropped is because nicks don't automatically expire. You need to ask a staff member in #freenode to drop the nick and that is at staff discretion if they want to drop it [07:33] I see. Thanks for your advise. Not from Ubuntu side then. [07:33] right. [07:33] but your question was a little confusing because you mentioned an ubuntu cloak [07:33] sneeky is always helpful [07:35] I wonder if staff would drop sabdfl for me. 27 weeks since it was last seen [07:35] Should try it. [07:35] lol [07:36] I'm pretty sure this is why nicks don't auto expire === k1l_ is now known as k1l [17:14] hello folks -- we can kill the #ayatana-bugs channel, it has been superseeded by the #ubuntu-unity (which carries a bot to show bugs). I have already killed eeeBotu there. [17:21] hi hggdh, we can sort that out no problme [17:22] AlanBell: great, thank you [17:37] share called the ops in #ubuntu-steam () [22:36] Hello [22:36] We've got a bit of a situation in #ubuntu-phone [22:37] There's a user called 'jackel' talking rubbish and spamming the channel.
