=== human is now known as Guest74136 [04:25] Hrm, when choosing the "Download updates while installing" option in the installer, the installer seems to be taking an eternity to progress past that screen. [10:06] mysql 5.6 isn't going to be in 13.04? wtf? [10:09] also, why isn't 13.04 going to use wayland yet? === zequence_ is now known as zequence [10:17] tix: 5.6 was release after debian import freeze - it didn't make the cut. [10:32] PPA? [10:32] also, is KDE 4.11 going to slip into 13.04? [10:32] I keep longing for rolling release. I wish the rumors were more true. [11:06] hrm, what are these glowing orange blobs with arrows that i keep seeming to make appear around windows, and how is it i'm doing that? [12:17] where did my workspaces go? [12:18] just upgraded [12:18] from 12.10 === Oli`` is now known as Oli [13:41] hey folks [21:28] hi jbicha [22:22] hello friends [22:23] testing out this new fangled "create disk image" feature found in the Disks utility of 13.04 [22:27] when is wayland going to replace x.org?!?! [22:27] not in 13.04 apparently [23:07] tix, did you really need 2 exclamation points and 2 question marks? [23:20] imo 3 is needed [23:21] I'm on my 7th attempt of installing 13.04. It keeps locking up where it asks about downloading updates while installing. [23:21] Tried every USB port and 2 flash drives. [23:22] oh my. md5's don't match. [23:22] unless they've changed the daily image iso in the last 5 hours [23:44] So I'm on my 3rd flash drive, 2nd ISO, MD5's match, etc., but I CANNOT complete the installation of 13.04 on my desktop. It hangs at the download updates/install third party software screen. [23:50] So... I unplugged all HDD's except the one I want to install to, and even still it's failing. [23:50] How does one install Ubuntu 13.04? [23:51] roasted: by following the installer I guess? :d [23:52] sebsebseb: just figured it out on this bug report - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1080701 [23:52] Launchpad bug 1080701 in ubiquity (Ubuntu Raring) "After 'Preparing to install Ubuntu' screen, raring installation hangs" [High,Confirmed] [23:52] had to run sudo swapoff -a first [23:53] roasted: ok so not quiteg so simple as running the installer I guess then, heh heh [23:55] sebsebseb: nope :( [23:55] I certainly hope that's fixed for the final release, but there's somet ime yet I suppose
