KurdistanHi I really hope the idea of rolling release and LTS will be reality. Rolling release that support last point release of every libreoffice would be best instead of supporting every LO release. For beginning of every new LO it is a bit buggy. It shapes well in the last point release of a release.09:05
ikoniaKurdistan: why are you posting it in here too09:07
kruxSoftware Center the menu is blank i see no categories at all.. it does not matter to me because i don't use the software center but just wanted to let you guys know..does this happen to anybody else ?..11:00

IdleOneHow do I make firefox know what to do with apt:// links?19:07
jtaylorprobably how everything is solved in firefox, install a plugin19:08
IdleOneyeah, I don't see anything relevant in my searches :/19:10
jtaylorhttps://help.ubuntu.com/community/AptURL19:11
IdleOnereading, thank you19:12
IdleOnewonder why I didn't already have apturl installed19:13
mandoguitfwiw, not installed here either    Kernel: 3.8.0-8-generic x86_64 (64 bit)  Desktop: KDE 4.10.00 Distro: Ubuntu Raring Ringtail19:15
BluesKajguess it's not a default apt package on 13.04 and won't be til official release19:17
yofelmuon/qapt was supposed to handle those. But I think jt didn't yet finish that19:18
IdleOneI see, I keep getting no app associated with apt urls but muon is selected in my prefs19:20
IdleOneI can no longer play one of my favorite online games now because of flash :/19:20
BluesKajIdleOne, which game ?19:22
IdleOneBingo on facebook19:22
IdleOnewell, 1 of the millions of bingo games they have.19:23
BluesKajreinstall flash ..some ppl who are having flash probs lately have resolved it a reinstall19:23
BluesKajwith a reinstall , that is19:24
IdleOneI tried that too19:24
IdleOneno love19:24
BluesKajwell , one thing I tried that worked here was downloading the the latest adobe flashplayer and adding the libflashplayer.so file to /usr/lib/mozilla/plgins19:32
BluesKajone thing too , i removed the alternativeflash from the mozilla plugins as well and using the libflashplyer.so file in it's place19:41
BluesKajwe just had an internet hiccup here , that's the second one in as many days19:42
IdleOneI'll give that a shot19:42
BluesKajI see the Bell tech working on a pole up the road19:43
IdleOnehah, expect downtime19:45
IdleOnethey always break something19:45
bjsniderBluesKaj, that manual downloading of flash was not necessary. all of that ids done by the flash package19:49
bjsniderfurthermore, it may have damaged flash for other browsers19:50
bjsniderthe flash package installs the plugin to a neutral location and sets up alternatives (links) for all browsers19:50
bjsnidermanually downloading is just,a t best, redundant19:51
BluesKajbjsnider, I haven't had any problems wit that method and I use up to 3 different browsers at times ...that methos was a fix for flash when it wasn't working well 64 bit installs and I've used it ever since19:53
bjsniderwell, if you prefer doing all that extra work, more power to you19:54
BluesKajwell , copying a file from an extracted file to a dir really isn't much work ...that alternative flash plugin isn't working on some setups19:56
bjsniderwhat do you mean by "alternative"?19:59
bjsnideri was talking about this package: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/quantal/+package/adobe-flashplugin20:02
bjsniderit isn't in raring yet, but the quantal version will work fine20:03
qenghoI anyone else having trouble with pulseaudio?  Does "mplayer" work now that you have pulseaudio 3.0... installed?23:41
