Could you renew my membership in bug-control? I still look after bugs of packages I maintain in Debian from time to time. (My Launchpad ID is aburch.) [14:40] ansgar: on it [14:40] ansgar: done, thank you [14:42] hggdh: Thanks. [14:51] Hello everyone. Where should I report mistake found in one of Raring Cadence Week testcases? [14:58] eugene_P: the best place is at #ubuntu-quality, this is where the test people live [14:59] hggdh, thanks [14:59] yw === om26er is now known as om26er|away === jbicha is now known as Guest7800 === Guest7800 is now known as jbicha_ [17:19] hello === francisco is now known as Guest98890 [17:21] I have noticed in the package ubiquity-frontend-gtk in the desktop file a line "OnlyShowIn=GNOME;XFCE;UNITY;" [17:21] I was remastering a Lubuntu installed and configured freshly, for a private use, with Ubuntu Builder [17:22] this line in the desktop file prevented ubiquity launcher to be in the menus, of course, so I added "LXDE" in it. [17:23] Now, what about doing precisely the contrary ? remove this line and use "NotShowIn=KDE;" instead ? [17:23] sounds reasonable [17:24] is there someone here (you?) who could bring this idea to where it could be used ? :) [17:25] melodie: I think you should submit a patch/merge proposal and get it reviewed by Ubiquity developers [17:25] I don't know how to do that [17:26] and even when going to submit a bug report the first job each time is to find the wonderful page where to start... [17:26] http://developer.ubuntu.com/packaging/html/fixing-a-bug.html [17:26] I look, thank you [17:27] I didn't need this page, but thanks anyway [17:28] maybe xnox knows what was the point of having OnlyShowIn there [17:30] mitya57 it's ok, I'll try to submit it as a wish or such [17:30] mitya57 would you have the knowledge to explain me exactly what a blueprint is ? [17:32] mitya57: hello, what where who? [17:32] melodie: https://launchpad.net/+tour/feature-tracking [17:33] melodie: yes NotShowIn=KDE makes sense. [17:33] thank you xnox [17:33] melodie: the usage of OnlyShowIn in ubiquity is very old, at the time there was no "NotShowIn". [17:33] xnox I understand [17:34] xnox: hello btw :) and thanks === mapreri_ is now known as mapreri [17:36] I just have to find the page where to start a new bug report. I have saught for a similar one but didn't find any [17:37] melodie: pushed a fix to lp:ubiquity will be part of the next release. [17:37] thanks for pointing this out. [17:38] melodie: for future: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/PACKAGENAME/+filebug [17:40] xnox so I don't need to go to bug reports ? great, thank you ! [17:41] mitya57 yes, thank you, I'll keep the link [17:43] melodie: ubuntu-bug $pkg-name from command line works as well. [17:44] I don't use Ubuntu all the time [17:44] I have done a link/desktop file to find it easily next time [17:45] xnox which next release will it be ? ubiquity-frontend-gtk for all ubuntu versions or for the next Ubuntu stable release ? [17:57] melodie: next upload into raring. [17:58] melodie: this is not worth the hassle as an sru into precise. [17:58] melodie: and quantal does not have point releases / updated images, so installer sru's there are pointless. [17:59] melodie: one can easily override .desktop file following FreeDesktop spec guidelines, so locally in your build you can change it. [17:59] yes sure, I just wanted to ask the question; thanks again [18:54] ah, perfect. Now I cannot login to Launchpad anymore :-( [19:42] bye === melodie__ is now known as melodie === Ursinha-afk is now known as Ursinha
