vibhavgood morning03:20
micahgISTR a tool that helps rebuild rdeps, am I imagining it?03:53
micahgScottK: was it decided to start "sponsoring" backports or are we still uploading as ourselves?04:18
ScottKmicahg: I don't recall a definitive conclusion.06:39

jtaylorgreat now we have pyqt 4.10 => lots of '4.10' < '4.x' breakage to be fixed :(14:34
* mitya57 wonders why that wasn't uploaded to Debian14:39
jtaylorthat will probably be done soon14:41
mitya57do you have any list of affected packages?14:42
jtaylorthats hard to create14:42
jtayloryou'd have to grep all sources14:42
jtaylorI know of two which are broken14:42
tumbleweedthis isn't exposed in dependencies?14:42
mitya57please at least name those two14:43
tumbleweedalso, codesearch!14:43
jtayloripython and spyder14:43
ScottKBecause it was released the day before feature freeze along with sip4 and qsintilla2 and you have to update them sip4 -> PyQt -> Qscintilla2 and there wasn't time to do that in Debian and Ubuntu before FF.14:43
mitya57ok14:44
* ScottK will do Debian uploads this week.14:44
ScottKIt's rather less urgent there.14:45
* mitya57 will look at bug 1130784 this week14:45
ubottubug 1130784 in python-qt4 (Ubuntu) "Support Qt5" [Wishlist,Won't fix] https://launchpad.net/bugs/113078414:45
ScottKjtaylor: Thanks for looking into it.14:45
ScottKmitya57: Part of the reason to push the newer PyQt in is it support Qt 5.0 final.14:45
mitya57I know :)14:46
ScottKIt will need an FFe at this point.14:46
mitya57maybe it'll make sense to remove "Won't fix" status for now14:46
ScottKDone.14:47
mitya57I will be happy to get that done in a PPA, but I don't know about mterry's plans14:47
jtaylorhas someone already written a autopkgtest with expect?14:50
jtaylora quick codesearch.debian.net showed two more broken apps16:45
jtaylorwith pyqt416:46
jtaylorI'll file some bugs16:46
jtaylorshould I use a usertag16:46
jtaylortortoisehg 702715, dff 70271616:54
ESphynxIt's done \o/17:21
ESphynxxnox =)17:21
ESphynxhttp://mentors.debian.net/package/ecere-sdk17:21
ESphynxhmm, should I file a Launchpad bug as well?17:40
ESphynxwell I'm finally going to get some sleep :)17:43
ESphynxPlease please bring in my hard efforts into Raring :P17:44
ScottKjtaylor: From #debian-python: lucid has two more years of non-desktop support.18:04
micahgjbicha: goffice failed in Debian due to missing symbols on arm*, why did you upload it before that was fixed?18:24
jbichamicahg: because I assumed the Debian failure was the same as the last time which we fixed in Ubuntu18:47
jbichainterestingly enough, it looks like we don't need separate symbols for arm any more18:47
micahgjbicha: but the symbol that failed was missing was a new one :)18:50
jbichamicahg: are you sure? it builds fine on my arm chroot if I let arm have the long-double symbols too18:51
micahghrm, gog_renderer_draw_equation seems to not be present in the last round of fixes and seems to have been dropped in the .1 update18:53
jbichaanyway, I'm going to do an upload that I believe fixes the ftbfs18:54
jbichabut it's optional so that's ok?18:54
micahgit's optional on some archs (not sure what lasem means offhand)18:54
jbichahttp://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=69698718:56
ubottuDebian bug 696987 in wnpp "ITP: lasem -- MathML and SVG rendering library" [Wishlist,Open]18:56
micahgthat's what I got from Google, but it doesn't seem contextually correct19:08
micahgjbicha: anyways, glad to hear you're sorting it out, /me disappears again19:11
jbichain the build log, gnumeric mentions that it can't find lasem; for some reason the Gnumeric Debian maintainer added an optional symbol for lasem but has yet to actually upload lasem into Debian19:11
Logan_Laney: Do you mind if I handle the fonts-ipaexfont merge?22:14
LaneyLogan_: If you want. I don't know enough about it to know if that chance is worthwhile. I also haven't thought about whether it needs FFe22:20
bkerensais there a particularly good method for making a patch with diff when you have made multiple changes in a few different files? diff -nu path/ path-orig/ doesn't produce the magic I need :)23:28
jtaylorwhats missing?23:33
jtaylorbesides possibly -r (or is diff smart enough to ad that by itself)23:35
