[09:41] I never knew about the uwn videocast [09:41] wow [09:43] uwn ? [09:43] Back in January 2011 an Ubuntu Ireland LoCo Team Member started his own "Ubuntu Weekly News" channel on youtube. UWN is a great 5 minutes or so video detailing the ubuntu related news from the previous week. It is also a great source for ubuntu related links, tips and tricks. UWN is normally recorded every Sunday. [09:43] It is a fantastic show!!! If you haven't done so already you should check it out! [09:43] http://www.youtube.com/user/ubuntuweeklynews [09:44] I can see maybe the UWN team may have a slight issue with the name but there are some cool videos here [09:45] Yeah I met Sean at one of our release parties ages ago [09:46] he told me about uwn [09:46] wow [09:46] impressve [09:53] I chatted to Sean about promoting UWN on the Ubuntuie social streams and he said go for it. [09:53] don't know why i didn't think of it much sooner [09:54] he is also happy for us to include his great work in a reapproval application if we decide to write one [09:55] I'd also fire what ever was posted to the list as well [09:55] never knew about it [09:55] have it playing now while I work [10:00] will do, facebook was only the start [10:00] excellent [10:13] Pendulum: ello, is the 12 o'clock membership board going ahead next wednesday [10:44] The new update to the LTP looks snazzy. [10:44] Does anyone know how the team planet works? [10:45] what do you mean ? [10:45] It looks like czajkowski and I are on it but I don't know how [10:45] ah well it's added by submitting stuff to [10:45] let me go and find the link [10:46] I signed up for the LTP front page blogroll [10:46] http://www.jonobacon.org/2011/09/01/loco-team-portal-gets-blogging-support/ [10:46] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LoCoPortalFeeds [10:47] aye [10:48] didn't realise it cascaded down from the front page to the team page. [10:48] love it! [10:50] need to get more people on there but it will have to be Ubuntu LoCo specific content. I did a tagged Feed as a subset of my blog. [10:51] It just so happens that all my posts thus far relate to ubuntu [10:52] nods [10:52] I like both tbh [10:52] but love to hear about non ubuntu releated stuff people do while still OSS if that makes sense [10:54] aye [10:55] only way for me to keep up to date with stuff happening back home as well [12:03] as we are talking about blogs etc [12:04] what am I going to do without any google reader [12:05] what do oss people use [12:24] hmm not sure [12:24] I tend to do searches on twitter [12:24] and my feeds tends to fill up on G+ [12:24] plus I read a few planets for overall chatter [12:38] czajkowski: we were planning to [12:43] excellent thank you [12:43] airurando: ^^ [12:48] tdr112: https://plus.google.com/109919666334513536939/posts/d8PRfnMdSGV?utm_source=chrome_ntp_icon&utm_medium=chrome_app&utm_campaign=chrome [13:00] gulp! right so, application submitted [13:00] yay [13:01] the membership boards don't bite and are nice they will just ask you some questions [13:01] :-) [16:16] czajkowski: I believe the the coder dojo movement actually started here in Ireland and spread across the world. Irish Idea! [16:18] ah wow [16:18] didnt know that [16:18] yeah [16:18] it's rather cool [16:19] it is a brilliant idea. kind of organic learning.
