jonrafkindI have been getting launchpad chroot build errors on maverick and karmick for a while: https://launchpadlibrarian.net/135181576/buildlog_ubuntu-maverick-i386.racket_5.3.3.7-20130325~maverick_CHROOTWAIT.txt.gz16:13
dobeyjonrafkind: maverick and karmic have not been supported for a while. you should disable any builds you have configured to run on them16:15
jonrafkindso why are they options in launchpad16:15
dobeyjonrafkind: they aren't. they only look like options if you already had them selected while they were supported. if you disable them, they should no longer appear as options16:16
dobey(i do agree that the lack of obviousness/automatedness of all that is annoying though)16:16
jonrafkindwhich distros should i disable16:16
jonrafkindi mean whats the last supported one16:17
dobeyhttps://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases16:18
dobey11.10 will EOL next month. i guess 10.04 will still work on launchpad as server won't be EOL (but desktop will). precise will be active for 4 more years still. quantal for another year, and raring for another ~10 months16:20
jonrafkindthe narwhal build still somehow works even though its EOL16:20
jonrafkindim guessing maverick and karmick just happen to not work due to some misconfiguration error rather than someone explicitly flipping some switch16:20
dobeyno, maverick and karmic don't work because the archive has been deleted off the server. i guess maybe that hasn't happened yet for natty. when it does though then build failures will happen for anything configured to build on natty on launchpad16:21

crassanyone know why https://code.launchpad.net/~crass/libtorrent/trunk is saying its importing changes, but no changes are found?16:34
dobeycrass: https://launchpadlibrarian.net/135215599/crass-libtorrent-trunk.log16:40
dobeycrass: i think you need to use the git:// URL for github branches. iirc there's a problem with using https, because github wants a specific user-agent value from git, which is not what bzr uses.16:41
crassthanks dobey, I'll try that16:47
crassmaybe that UA requirement is newish, because as you can see it was importing before16:49
crassand any ideas why https://code.launchpad.net/~vcs-imports/grub/grub2-bzr says updating branch? it seems to be stuck there16:57
=== salgado-lunch is now known as salgado
dobeycrass: it seems the mirror is broken so perhaps it caused the branch scanner to fail on that branch for some reason17:48
dobeycrass: yeah, not sure why it was imported before. but the checks are grey, not green. not sure what that means either17:49

Luke-Jrtrying to upload to my PPA - I don't use a Debian-related distro though.. don't seem to get any reaction from LP22:02
Luke-Jrcan anyone check the PPA server and see what I'm doing wrong, or is there any advice for uploading PPA stuff manually?22:02
Luke-JrI'm just sftp put'ing the .dsc .tbz2 and .changes files22:02
Luke-Jrusing dput itself seems to be ignored as well :/22:28
StevenKIf your upload is unsigned, it will seem to be ignored because Launchpad can't work out who to mail.22:29
Luke-Jrit's signed22:30
StevenKAnd Launchpad knows about the key it's signed with?22:30
StevenK2013-03-25 22:30:11 INFO    Failed to parse changes file '/srv/launchpad.net/ppa22:32

Luke-Jroh, LP only has my old key22:33
* Luke-Jr tries again22:33
Luke-Jrdirect sftp seems to ignored still.. trying dput/ftp now22:35
Luke-Jrhrm Package has already been uploaded to bfgminer on ppa.launchpad.net22:35
StevenKThat's dput saying it's already uploaded it22:35
StevenKdput -f22:35
Luke-Jrany idea what went wrong with the sftp?22:36
StevenKIf you just put three files in the root, that.22:38
StevenKYou need to make directories and make sure they're named correctly, so LP can work out which PPA you're targetting.22:38
Luke-Jrput bfgminer_2.10.5-0precise1.dsc ~luke-jr/bfgminer/ubuntu/bfgminer_2.10.5-0precise1.dsc22:39
StevenKI've not seen another upload in the logs.22:41
Luke-Jrdput finished and still no reaction :/22:42
StevenKThe upload processor runs every five minutes, it isn't instant.22:43
Luke-JrI see.22:43
Luke-Jrhmm, I really need to reupload the files for every arch? :/22:46
StevenKNo, your arch should be 'source'22:47
StevenKbfgminer_2.10.5-0precise1_source.changes22:47
Luke-Jraha22:48
Luke-JrStevenK: are the source files deleted after each build, or can I use the same tbz2 for multiple releases?22:49
StevenKLuke-Jr: If your upload only has two files, you're probably aren't going to convince LP to do so. If you have .orig.tar.gz (or bz2 or whatever), then it can referenced by multiple releases, as long as it isn't rebuilt (IE: it has the same checksum and contents)22:51
Luke-JrStevenK: is ~luke-jr the standard /home/luke-jr (can I use the latter if I end up with a FTP client that only supports absolute paths)?22:52
StevenKIt is not22:53
StevenKYour client is chrooted on connection, so it's /~luke-jr22:54
Luke-Jrk22:54
Luke-JrStevenK: any idea what that last error was about? pretty sure I uploaded the files it's saying are missing23:09
