[20:17] nathwill: enjoying the new comcast speeds? [20:19] eh? [20:19] comcast.speeds? [20:20] i noticed they dropped my IP lease and gave me a new one last night... [20:22] though checking speedtest, it appears the down speed tripled from what i've typically seen [20:22] yes [20:22] they rolled out new speeds on all plans [20:26] no kidding [20:26] where's this described? [20:28] nathwill: http://www.oregonlive.com/silicon-forest/index.ssf/2013/03/comcast_boosts_internet_speeds.html [20:28] nathwill: also Sprint confirmed last night to me that LTE will be rolled out in all of the Portland metro area by July [20:28] apparently its now starting by my house since my service was heavily disrupted yesterday [20:28] fantastic! [20:29] I did however go out to Wilsonville/Tualatin/Tigard/SW last night and saw no 4G so no idea where other people are seeing it out there yet [20:30] nathwill: if you shut off your modem for 10 mins or so and then start it up it should grab a newer boot file and you might get faster speeds [20:30] unless they cycled your modem [20:30] i have my own modem [20:30] me too [20:30] but you still use their boot file [20:30] :D [20:30] i see that my speeds jumped when checking speedtest [20:30] srsly? [20:30] yes [20:30] that's super upsetting [20:30] why? [20:31] how would they know what speeds to provision [20:31] ;)
