[00:23] evening [00:56] afternoon Squirm [05:30] morning superfly and others [06:22] hi Kilos [07:00] hi Vince-0 [07:00] Hi! [09:40] * Kilos sitting on maverick. trying to build up the courage to install 12.02 unity on it [09:47] hi henkj inetpro [09:47] wonder what happened to jurgens [09:49] hi Kilos [10:01] hi Tonberry [10:01] hallo === Trix[a]r_za is now known as Trixar_za [10:16] yo Trixar_za [10:16] Hey Kilos, you've been pretty scarce hey [10:17] yeah been trying to save a 160g drive but looks like its sicker [10:17] might work as storage only [10:21] also been sleeping lots [10:21] Yeah, I have a old laptop drive I put in an external. It's 160GB drive too and USB 3 [10:22] You can use it with a USB 1.1 system, but then it needs you to plugin into two sockets [10:22] this one does weird things. shows disk sleep on and off [10:22] And if you do that, 9 times out of 10, Windows will corrupt the partition [10:23] why you use windows on it? [10:23] i formatted my external to ext4 and windows cant even see it [10:23] So I can copy things from other people [10:24] ah [10:24] Works fine in Linux, even when the partition gets broken [10:24] hehe [10:25] Oh, been meaning to tell you about sakis3g [10:26] yes? [10:26] Somebody tested the new version I made and his 3G modem could connect where before it wouldn't [10:26] connected* [10:26] nice [10:26] Meaning the modification I made to the 67 files helped [10:27] ive never had probs connecting with it, only installing without the site working [10:27] great [10:28] why dont you make it a .deb file as well then installs will be easy [10:29] is that major work? [10:29] Debian packages aren't my forte and I probably need to make a site for it now [10:30] Oh and find people to make the 64bit and ARM versions [10:30] well at least you keep busy hey [10:31] werent you going to capetown after work a while back? === Trixar_za is now known as Trix[a]r_za [13:31] anyone here happen to know if a decent Android phone for sale? [14:29] Squirm: what is you budget like? [14:29] *your [14:29] what are you looking at spending for the phone? [14:29] Superhuman: at a stretch, R3k [14:30] meh, now I like the Nexus 4 :P But it's $300usd, they don't ship to SA so it's a mission to get it here. [14:35] The best would be to look at the phones in your price range, and the start comparing them on gsmarena. [14:36] Took me 2 weeks to decide which phone to take on my upgrade. Settled for the Huawei Ideos X5. Great low/mid range phone. [14:39] The only thing your decicion should be based on; is the hardware. Do you want a big camera, look at Sony Ericsson (they used to have the best cameras in their phones, don't know now). [15:19] Superhuman: I had the Ideos X5 [15:19] until it was stolen [15:19] now I can't find where to pay cash for it [15:28] http://www.scoopdistribution.co.za/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=28&products_id=1387 [15:28] Squirm, have heard that that one is pretty good, but don't know personally [15:29] seems decent enough on paper at any rate [16:01] eeek winter has arrived. expected 11°chere tonight and 6°c in joburg [16:01] hi Mezenir ThatGraemeGuy [16:01] 'ello :) [16:02] ooooh is it home time already :o [16:05] ok i'm off, later peeps!
