charliepurple1Hey there, for bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1164788 I was asked to test an upstream kernel. I installed it and then my networking (including wired) disappeared, as if there just wasn't any hardware for it. It also affected USB stuff. is there a way to test it and also have network stuff running? 17:09

maxbcharliepurple1: Just a guess - did you install both the linux-image and linux-image-extra packages for the upstream test kernel version?17:44
charliepurple1Yes, I did. 17:44
maxbHm, no idea then17:45
charliepurple1I'll give it another go. I'm on a new install now, so maybe it'll be different. 17:45
