SonikkuAmerica(Ironically, 13.04 32-bit in VirtualBox DOES respond, but 12.10 64-bit on the hardware doesn't.15:14

SonikkuAmericaWhy is Lubuntu's release upgrader still pointing to the alpha release notes?18:06
SonikkuAmerica(Beta 2 has been released)18:07
holsteinSonikkuAmerica: is that a wiki page? those are editable18:12
SonikkuAmericaIt's a text-based pop-up window18:12
holsteinSonikkuAmerica: for 13.04? its not out yet18:15
SonikkuAmericaTrue, but the release notes still say it's alpha despite the fact that there is a beta in the repos18:16
holstein!13.0418:16
ubottuUbuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) will be the 18th release of Ubuntu, Discussion and support until final release in #ubuntu+118:16
holsteinSonikkuAmerica: i would expect "issues" with it since its not released18:16
SonikkuAmericaWith the release notes window?18:17
holsteinSonikkuAmerica: with literally anything at anytime18:17
holsteinSonikkuAmerica: its not out yet, so anything can be "odd" or "broken"...18:17
SonikkuAmericaPoint taken.18:17
SonikkuAmericaI just feel those of us that [ do-release-upgrade ] for testing reasons are being misled.18:18
holsteini think the main thing is, dont upgrade to early releases... its not misleading to have forgotten to update something18:19
holsteinits just an issue somewhere.. maybe someone just forgot.. i would point it out in the +1 channel or the mailing list for the lubuntu dev's...18:19
holsteinyou can always file a bug, but i dont think that will be necessary18:20
SonikkuAmericaholstein: That is always true.18:20

Rae9Hello!20:24
wxlyikes! what?! i'm awake, mom, i'm awake!20:25
Rae9:) I have a bit of a question.20:25
wxli may only be able to promise a bit of an answer20:25
Rae9I have a netbook, and I'm about to put a new system on it. The live cd looks like it's the desktop-style Lubuntu. How or where do I get the netbook-style Lubuntu?20:26
wxlwell, there's a netbook session in the desktop lubuntu. but you'd be fine with desktop lubuntu.20:27
Etanolwhen i login lubuntu i can choose lubuntu desktop or lubuntu netbook20:27
wxli don't like the netbook session frankly20:27
Unit193The "Netbook" interface was a little bit of a test, more than a real setup.20:27
Rae9Ah, okay. But the live cd just came up desktop by default?20:27
Unit193To show how it can be done, rather.20:28
wxlwell you can use it on laptops, too, silly :)20:28
Unit193Rae9: It's saying "Desktop" rather than "server"20:28
Rae9Not sure I follow you, Unit193.20:29
Rae9"desktop" vs "server"?20:29
Unit193Desktop is just the name, it doesn't mean it doesn't work on laptops or netbooks.20:30
Rae9Gotcha. Okay. Well, thanks. :) I better install this baby before I re-triple-double-check that it's backed up again, again. :)20:31
Rae9Thank you and good day. @}'--,---'----,-----'----------20:33
wxllove you bye20:33
genii-aroundI think it's been years since I saw one of those ascii roses20:34
