C1sM0Hello, Does anyone know if I can do the "Test-case Live Session Persistence" while booting from a USB device?00:44
smartboyhwC1sM0: Of course!00:54
C1sM0smartboyhw but I don't see the "The Startup Disk Creator" application. Furthermore, I believe the USB device that I am using is only 2GB00:57
smartboyhweh?01:02
smartboyhwC1sM0 you have a vanilla Ubuntu systen right?01:02
C1sM0yes01:03
C1sM0Xbuntu01:03
smartboyhwC1sM0: That's a NO:P01:04
C1sM0=(01:04
C1sM0what do you mean by vanilla?01:05
smartboyhwC1sM0: Normal desktop Ubuntu. Not a flavor like Xubuntu. Anyways just install usb-creator-gtk from terminal should get you that.01:07
C1sM0Ok this is my confusion. I have Xubuntu 12.04 installed on my computer.01:10
C1sM0I already have "Startup Disk Creator" and "TestDrive"01:10
smartboyhwC1sM0 uh huh01:11
C1sM0so I grab an image of Xubuntu 13.04 and installed on the usb01:12
C1sM0I rebooted with the usb in place and follow the testcase01:12
C1sM0on the third section of the testccase "Live Session Persistence" asks to create a partition and use the "Startup Disk Creator"01:14
C1sM0am I missing something? or I am doing it wrong?01:15
smartboyhwno.01:27
C1sM0so the last part is actually what you do before testing the image, right?01:29
smartboyhwyep.01:31
C1sM0now if in any moment one of the steps does not give the right results the test-case fail, right?01:31
smartboyhwC1sM0 yes sure.01:32
C1sM0Ok. Thank you smartboyhw01:33
wxlshadeslayer: thx, but imagine no internet connection.04:09

smartboyhwDark_light, report a bug:)12:37
Dark_lighthumm why is noone working on this https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1081245 ?14:04
ubot5Launchpad bug 1080701 in ubiquity (Ubuntu Raring) "duplicate for #1081245 After 'Preparing to install Ubuntu' screen, raring installation hangs" [High,Confirmed]14:04
smartboyhwDark_light, hmm14:04
smartboyhwDark_light, ask in #ubuntu-installer.14:04
Dark_lightoh apparently someone is in #108124514:04
Dark_lightI didn't notice it was a duplicate14:04
smartboyhwDark_light, LOL :P14:04
Noskcaji've marked bug bug 1088054 as fixed and made a "won't fix" bug for what happens when you maximize that21:28
ubot5bug 1088054 in ubiquity (Ubuntu) "Release notes firefox has no "minimise, maximise, close" buttons" [Undecided,Fix released] https://launchpad.net/bugs/108805421:28
Noskcajxnox, can you mark bug 1168970 as won't fix?21:29
ubot5bug 1168970 in ubiquity (Ubuntu) "firefox won't merge buttons during the install" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/116897021:29
Noskcajphillw, i'm running lubuntu alternate, i've found no bugs in the installer so far, but plenty in the website22:07
phillwNoskcaj: I'm having an issue with http://linuxpoison.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/how-to-upgrade-ubuntu-using-alternate.html I have asked about this before, but as we do not have a an entry for http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/243/builds/41977/downloads I will ask for further detaiils22:10
Noskcajphillw, interesting. i don't have an install to test that on though. the problem i've found is that the first half of the alternate testcase is copy/pasted from an normal testcase, also, it still doesn't use the "FAMILY" link, it just says "Ubuntu" or in the one i just changed "Lubuntu"22:15
Noskcajalso "utc" needs to be capitalised22:15
Noskcajthere, it's swapped to "FAMILY", no someone needs to get the top half done properly22:22
SergioMenesesphillw, I'm working on bug 1161953 but I dont see any problem22:36
ubot5bug 1161953 in language-selector (Ubuntu Precise) "gnome-language-selector crashed with TypeError in _expand_pkg_pattern(): not enough arguments for format string" [High,Fix committed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/116195322:36
