[07:57] Please report at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Mesa [08:22] where is the lightdm code hosted? I mean the code to build the lightdm package in Mir ppa staging. === mmrazik is now known as mmrazik|afk === seb128_ is now known as seb128 === mmrazik|afk is now known as mmrazik === francisco is now known as Guest75684 [15:05] hello folks, status, working on internal client/'inprocess' egl for android today [15:13] mornin kdub [16:08] What devices is it running on? [16:22] gustav, the nexus 4 and galaxy nexus are the most-tested devices, although others should work as well [16:30] Is it virtuous? [16:30] Is it stable or usable? [16:40] stable, yes, usable, depends what you're using it for! ;) [16:42] Does it support X protocol? [16:46] I'm not asking for any particular application. I'm not interested in Android per se. [16:54] gustav, we have the freestack platform working with X as a client (eg, mir as system compositor) [16:54] Cool. [16:57] gustav, are you going to give it a try? our docs capture how to do so http://unity.ubuntu.com/mir/ [16:59] Well, I'm a bit wary. I'm running a laptop/desktop Ubuntu system. I've tried mucking about with X before with bad luck. I don't really get this no-configuration thing. Any way, this system also has Optimus/nVidia. I'm going into bad odds. [17:01] I really want to keep X11, just checking this out. X11 seems to cover so many areas that other softwares do not. Mainly Wayland. === francisco is now known as Guest47122 [17:02] The thing with X11/Xorg is the harmony with / between systems. [17:02] Although some now break the protocol. I.e. Mac OS X. [17:02] Can't run X/Linux app/client on Mac OS X host/server. [17:03] Talking about a fairly recent version of Mac OS X. [17:20] * kdub likes our new fancy cursor [17:21] Is it good for picking lint from the navel? [21:18] gustav: I really expect X will be entirely usable on linux for a very long time. [21:20] gustav: I'd say the biggest concern would be driver support, and I expect that to be handled quite nicely by glamor: http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/Glamor (hardware independent hardware acceleration for X). [21:23] gustav: And I'm pretty sure you can run X.org rootless on Mac OS X, so you shouldn't have any problem with linux clients. Don't know why you've had a problem with it.
