[00:30] hey there, got an issue with Java sound output and PulseAudio on Xubuntu 13.04 x64 [00:31] I can't change the sound output from 'Built-in Audio Analogue Stereo' in the combo box, it just stays as it is [00:31] I can change it fine for all other processes [00:33] I've tried running pavucontrol as root too, no change [00:53] No-one can help me with pulseaudio then? [01:53] would anyone be able to enlighten me on how to replace xterm with rxvtu as the default terminal? [01:54] I just need to figure out how to set the terminal emulator to launch rxvt instead === seronis is now known as seronis|Zzz [08:37] Hi [08:46] hi Faris [08:47] There's nothing much new in xubuntu 13.04! [08:47] (judging from the feature list on the website) [08:48] Did they add the fundamental feature of being able to reorganize the order of window buttons on the taskbar ? [08:49] Faris: go to the settings of the window-buttons and set the sort-order to "manual/drag and drop" [08:51] Oh thanks! [08:51] np [10:39] Hello [10:40] Ive got a quick question. Where can I download Xubuntu 12.10? It has been removed from the official website [10:40] Geertje123: well the latest release is 13.04 [10:40] why would you want 12.10 exactly? [10:42] hi everybody [10:42] Geertje123: If you want to have a longterm support, use 12.04 [10:53] Im building a mining rig, the guy recommended 12.10 [10:53] whats the difference between 12.04 and 12.10 exactly? [10:54] ps. sorry for the late response [10:54] Geertje123, see the release notes for details. Of particular note is that 12.04 is supported for 5 years. 12.10, 18 months ... Its as if I have to manually open up the file explorer from my desktop to make simple changes. [16:44] chaitime: seems you only get the one opportunity to name it as you create it. [16:44] that is an odd design choice [16:44] very odd [16:44] is there a way where you can switch out the file explorer or its reall difficult? === Belial is now known as Belial` === mnepton is now known as mneptok [17:37] since the upgrade to 13.04 my goldendict cannot index my dictionaries [17:37] web dictionaries work well [17:40] hi everyone, I need a little help [17:40] I installed xubuntu yesterday [17:40] and it runs fine [17:40] but since I updated [17:40] When I reboot [17:40] I randomly get a black screen after grub [17:40] sometimes I just enter recovery mode [17:41] then normal mode and it works [17:41] I looked a bit on the internet but can't find a matching solutions... I get the grub error partition not found. I think I'm not picking the right place for my mbr or something. I want to do the USB drive with a fat32 partition, a /boot and / in that order, is that going to possibly cause me problems?
