=== Ursinha-afk is now known as Ursinha [14:02] dupondje: I think fsl can be synced; do you agree? It fixes basically the same things in a slightly different way. [14:02] (And it's part of http://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/transitions/libgd2.html) [17:46] there is't a handy program somewhere that can take real time log output and timestamp it is there? [17:56] psusi: ts from moreutils === barry` is now known as barry_ === barry_ is now known as barry [18:06] tumbleweed: cool, thanks [18:42] hi all... I required a sync for alsa-plugins, but I got a comment about it, which I didn't understand very well: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-plugins/+bug/1181384/comments/1. can someone help me on understanding why they decided to do not sync the package? [18:42] Launchpad bug 1181384 in alsa-plugins (Ubuntu) "Sync alsa-plugins 1.0.27-2 (main) from Debian unstable (main)" [Wishlist,New] [18:53] alo21: presumably that TheMuso is preparing an upload of that package, himself [18:54] I see 1.0.27-1ubuntu1 in that PPA. 1.0.27-2 is the same as 1.0.27-1, but uploaded to unstable... [18:55] tumbleweed, yea...I asked a sync because is in unstable now too [18:57] anyway, he did a merge, not a sync [18:57] so if you think the remaining delta should be dropped, take that up with him [18:59] tumbleweed, why do you prefer a merge instead of a sync? [18:59] alo21: that's not what I said. I haven't looked at the details [18:59] mistab? [18:59] but presumably you have [19:00] do what? === GeertJohan is now known as GeertJohan|afk [19:11] cjwatson, hi...may I take care of efibootmgr merge? [19:32] alo21: we can just leave it for now - I've forwarded the last change to Debian and I think Steve's likely to accept it or something similar, then we can sync [19:33] alo21: until then there's no substantive change in the merge so no real point bothering [19:34] alo21: and if there's going to be a merge, I'd rather do it myself so that I retain touched-it-last and am more likely to see that a sync needs to happen :) [19:38] cjwatson, Ok, thanks for your exhaustive reply [20:14] mdeslaur, hi... may I take care of virt-manager merge? [20:14] alo21: you are really picking the wrong pacakges for your skill level [20:14] everything I see you mentioned I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole :) [20:15] (not because its bad but because I don't think I'm qualified to do it) [20:15] alo21: look in the universe merge list, there are likely easier packages there with lower risk of breaking essential infrastructure [20:16] jtaylor, could you give me some suggestions on how to pick the right package, please? [20:16] ok... perfect [20:17] mdeslaur, as jtaylor said may be i'm not the right person to do merge this package :). Sorry for the inconvenience [20:24] micahg, hi... may I ask you just a little thing? === Guest35947 is now known as dk [23:59] alo21, we carry the plugins that use libav in a separate package because there is a technical board directive that requires libav not to be on the images. People still want to use such plugins however, so they can install after the fact if they so wish.
