TheLordOfTimewhat's the average wait-time for a dput upload to a ppa to be picked up and dropped into the queue?01:14
mwhudsonTheLordOfTime: the process that picks them up runs as a */5 cron i believe01:15
mwhudsonTheLordOfTime: so the average wait time is 2.5 minutes i guess :)01:15
TheLordOfTimeso, if I don't see a... nevermind.01:16
TheLordOfTimeit just got picked up01:16
* TheLordOfTime got the email just now01:16
mwhudsonTheLordOfTime: the other rule of thumb is that it gets picked up around the time you start to wonder if it ever will :)01:17
TheLordOfTimemwhudson:  that's an unspoken rule of the internet :P01:17
mwhudsona watched pot never boils & all that01:17
TheLordOfTime:p01:23
TheLordOfTimewhoopsies01:23
TheLordOfTimeand apparently i uploaded a package to a PPA that DIDN'T include the patch I meant to include xD01:23

czajkowskihttps://launchpad.net/~/+edit08:21
rustxok08:21

rustxi know what i will do then08:23
rustxand comment removal ? possible ?08:24
rustxtalk about mine, of course08:24
czajkowskirustx: you want us to remove all of your comments on bugs? again that does tend to make a bug look rather odd08:24
czajkowskiand not show the true history of a bug08:24
czajkowskiso we wouldn't really do that08:25
rustxok08:25
rustxi got it08:25

LaneyHow do I get to be able to link an Ubuntu package's bugs to upstream? By registering a project for it?10:14
Laney(do we have support for code.google.com there?)10:15
wgrantLaney: Yes, you need to register a project. But Google Code is not supported.10:25
Laneyrighto10:26
Fudgehi, my user ID on LP is fudge, can I change when I publish a package so my real name appears or only my Launchpad ID11:35
Fudgekind of cant find where such an option would be changed :D11:38
maxbFudge: Both LP ID and full name are displayed in most contexts in the UI, you'll need to give more context11:42
Fudgemaxb no problem, in our PPA, next to the packages has Fudge instead of my name.11:52
maxbCan you give a link to an example page?11:52
wgrantFudge: That page only ever shows the Launchpad ID11:53
wgrantFor layout reasons11:53
Fudgewgrant  I dont suppose you can cahnge ID easily :D11:55
wgrantYou'd have to delete your PPAs first11:55
Fudgeall good, thanks mate11:57

geserwgrant: could you take a look on the armhf builder "heka" please (or let someone take a look). It had several chroot failures lately (mainly when building for saucy and some raring PPAs)14:07

czajkowski16:13 < josepht> er, bazaar.launchpad.net16:22
mgzlooks like a seriously borked net connection...16:23
mgzhm, searching for "bad mac" doesn't give useful results :)16:24
mgzanyway, something is corrupting his tcp stream and breaking ssh, needs to talk to isp probably16:25
czajkowskimgz: cheers16:26
josephtmgz, czajkowski: thanks, I'm detangling my network now. :)16:27
mgzjosepht: I take it just a branch over http from launchpad works? (eg, `bzr branch http://launchpad.net/`)16:29

jaypipesanybody know if it's possible to mark a project on launchpad as not have code associated with it?19:48
dobeyjaypipes: anyone can create a branch for any project on launchpad, so no, not really. you can simply not create a branch or specify any code for it. maybe you can change the config to "not hosted on launchpad"19:49

ricotzwgrant, hello, maybe you could take a look at this and figure out what was going wrong here https://launchpad.net/~ricotz/+archive/ppa/+build/4596196 -- the (quite long) build was successful but the upload failed21:07
wgrantricotz: That's an internal Launchpad connection failure. A retry will work.21:08
wgrantA bit unfortunate that it hit such a long build :/21:08
=== cp16net is now known as cp16net|away
ricotzwgrant, hmm, i see, the problem here is that it needs to pick a proper builder too (as you might remember)21:09
=== cp16net|away is now known as cp16net
ricotzso this build is definitely lost then?21:09
