[03:28] g'day all - not entirely sure if this is the right place to ask, but here goes. I have a service running under upstart. I need to change some settings in /etc/security/limits.conf for a particular user. They work fine if i log in with a login shell, but it seems that upstart just runs setuid. Is there an approved way of getting PAM to run those for services? [05:12] blackdog: PAM is not for services. You can set those limits in the upstart job. [05:12] blackdog: see 'man 5 init' , the 'limit' stanza lets you set any of those limits but without the baggage of PAM. [05:12] SpamapS: righto, thanks. === chras_ is now known as chras
