[06:20] morning all [06:43] morning Kilos [06:43] hi Squirm [06:59] hiya maiatoday [07:26] morning all :) [07:27] hi ThatGraemeGuy [08:52] just found out my Facebook profile has been cloned [08:52] makes me wonder how they do it [08:53] nothing digital is secure or sacred [08:53] its all just a fat waste of time [08:57] so I had a look at all my privacy settings [08:57] I can't find anything to block the public from viewing my profile [08:57] I always put it down to peoples tendency towards idiocy :P [08:57] bad privacy settings [08:57] accepting stupid app requests [08:58] but there is nothing, they just cloned my profile using freely available info [08:58] and there's nothing I can do about it [08:58] (least until a friend with an invite sends me the suckers Facebook link) [09:10] facebook is a waste of time [09:12] avoid social media it always ends badly [09:13] we dont pay much for food at all now [09:13] oops sorry [09:13] wrong window [09:13] hehe [09:45] Squirm, so are there 2 of you there now [09:46] you all should be scared [09:46] :P [09:46] lol [09:48] hi magespawn [09:49] hey Kilos [09:49] lol [09:50] i think my adsl router is messing around, maybe somthing else though [09:51] ai! [09:52] they get old it happens [10:10] i see superfly was here last night [10:11] yeah [10:11] you werent [10:11] did not say much though [10:11] nope must be busy again [10:12] no i was helping friends out setting up a network share between their windows laptops and mac desktops [10:12] ah [10:41] Squirm: email Facebook support and report the issue. They should shut down the cloned account. I don't know what the procedure is, but I assume they'll be able to tell that your real account has identical info and is older. [10:42] confluency: I will [10:42] Also, there should be an option to make your profile visible only to friends or friends of friends rather than everyone. [10:42] I just want to get the URL of the clone [10:43] Although you might want to wait until after the dupe account is deleted. [10:43] send that along with the message [10:44] but I'm not worried [10:44] if someone is stupid enough to send me money without confirming it's me [10:44] * Squirm shrugs [10:45] besides, all the people that would send me money, I work with :P [10:45] hi digigram [10:46] hey Oom Kilos [10:47] random question... Does anyone know of a good and free shell server? (Yeah good and free can go together, we all use Ubuntu) [11:00] hi nlsthzn [11:00] alo uncle Kilos :) [11:01] uh [11:01] just back from yet another mad dash to the big city... visa secured... [11:01] idk if good and free can go together [11:01] now it is all systems go :D [11:02] I used to know, but haven't seen any in ages [11:02] cool nlsthzn [11:27] digigram, have you googled? [11:27] http://shells.red-pill.eu/ [11:28] http://freeshells.fewona.net/ [11:28] yes Kilos I have, I have also tried all of the spam connected with the shells on those sites [11:29] eish [11:29] I'm trying fewona, waiting for confirmation [11:42] booya found one [11:42] thanx [11:42] digigram: what exactly are free shells? free shell servers? [11:43] random question... Does anyone know of a good and free shell server? (Yeah good and free can go together, we all use Ubuntu) <-- yeah free shell servers [11:43] but hosted on the net [11:43] the fewona one digigram ? [11:44] yes magespawn a hosted one [11:44] Kilos shell.cjb.net [11:44] I'm using one at alwaysdata.com but I needed a second one to share some load [11:47] why not something like EC2? === Trix[a]r_za is now known as Trixar_za [11:50] not familiar with that? [11:50] oh amazon [11:50] is there a free version?\ [11:51] mmm, 750 hours per month for a year. Sounds reasonable [12:08] thats what i though [12:10] bbl [12:10] k [12:16] Ola [12:18] Day 6 on Kubuntu.... Mmmmmm Lovin it... [12:20] hi N8Wulf [12:20] How you Mr? [12:20] good ty and you [12:30] good ty, tired of sitting at hospital waiting for doctors to start operating on my Mom-in-law [12:30] been sitting here since 6am, she had to be here at 6h30... still not gone into theater [12:30] but at least I've been able to install and configure my Virtualbox [12:30] and Xmind [12:31] and install thunderbird [12:31] and spent R400 on coffees already at Dulce [12:31] and you? what yuou up to? [12:32] your polipo going strong? noticed any difference? [12:33] good afternoon [12:33] hi N8Wulf [12:33] hi charl [12:34] hi Kilos [12:34] dont browse much so polipo wont have much to do here [12:35] wow the apache issue tracker has been down now for hours [12:35] wonder what went wrong [12:35] lol [12:35] hi Trixar_za [12:35] Sorry, but a web server's bug tracker is down [12:35] That's hilarious for some reason [12:36] Hey Kilos [12:36] Trixar_za: apache is not a web server, it's a foundation [12:36] they do have a popular webserver, the apache httpd, though [12:37] They used to only do the httpd until they acquired OpenOffice. To my knowledge anyway :/ [12:38] definitely not, according to the wikipedia they only acquired openoffice as of june 2011 [12:40] Also if I haven't mentioned it yet, I made Windows 3.1x run in DosBox because I found out you could. [12:41] lol [12:41] I did discover that there are a bunch of people around that still run Win 3.1x on ancient machines. They even created software like Calmira for it, which is a 16 bit Delphi app that emulates Windows 95's interface [12:42] lol [12:43] you bored Trixar_za ? [12:43] sounds like installing ubuntu then loading a Windows 7 theme so it will look the same... [12:43] Makes sense if you consider that you can run it on systems that can only handle a terminal based linux [12:43] N8Wulf, Trixar_za uses another os [12:43] slitaz or something [12:44] ah... so he's like me, here for the Coffee [12:44] hehe [12:44] well I'm at Dulce in any event... [12:44] Trixar_za: The Apache Software Foundation provides support for the Apache community of open-source software projects, which provide software products for the public good [12:44] The ASF is made up of over 100 top level projects that cover a wide range of technologies. [12:44] Trixar_za, wont tinycorelinux work there even [12:45] ohi inetpro [12:45] at least they just brought me a Complimentary Cupa Joe [12:45] And the Windows install is about 40MB with Video for Windows, Calmira, Sound Blaster Drivers and S3 Video Drivers. I also installed Win32s, WinG and Installed Quicktime. [12:45] good morning Kilos [12:45] oh and hi everyone else [12:45] Kilos: Probably not. These people still run it on 386 machines [12:46] Hi inetpro [12:46] wow its very basic [12:46] You do get extreme minimalists like that. They want to see how slim they can run a system for shits and giggles [12:46] Trixar_za: An alphabetical list of all ASF projects: http://projects.apache.org/indexes/alpha.html [12:48] inetpro: Lol [12:48] you are one serious Down to Business person [12:49] haha he dont like peeps mocking what he likes [12:51] N8Wulf: misinformation just kills me regardless what it is [12:51] QA, coffee on [12:51] * QA flips the salt-timer [12:52] Right and how many of those don't directly plug into the HTTPd? [12:52] :P [12:52] Sup! [12:52] Anyone done MDM LDAP auth for desktops? [12:53] Trixar_za: oh most definitely not [12:54] inetpro: I'm just messing with you :P [12:55] Coffee's ready for Kilos! [12:55] ai! [12:55] QA, ty [12:55] You're welcome Kilos [12:55] jy is te stadig man [12:55] * inetpro goes back to his rabbit hole [12:55] lol [12:55] wait what is the deal with QA [12:55] where is Maaz [12:56] Maaz, is here [12:56] Kilos: Huh? [12:56] im just revving the pro [12:56] revving the pro lol [12:56] he will bomb me any minute [12:57] QA, is a modern ibid [12:57] Kilos: *blink* [12:57] QA: die! [12:57] inetpro: You're not the boss of me [12:57] ai! [12:57] lol [12:57] http://www.lfgcomic.com/page/677/ [12:57] That Richard kills me [12:58] Trixar_za: dosbox is cool, i used it a while back to play this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alley_Cat_%28video_game%29 [12:58] Trixar_za: it was actually the first time i ever played this game on a colour monitor :) [12:59] Yeah, I wanted a friend to be able to play 16bit games on their Windows 7 64Bit system. The Win 3.1x in DosBox is a trick you can use to do that. [12:59] Trixar_za: oh wait, you can run dosbox on windows as well? i only tried it on linux [12:59] Like Sierra's Shivers which I used the new installer (from Sierra's site) to turn my CD into a CD-less version [13:00] can't say i know that one [13:00] Yeah. And if a dosbox.conf is in the same directory with Linux, it uses that conf instead. With the Windows Version you have to put the DosBox.exe in the same directory with the SDL.dll and SDL_Net.dll files [13:01] this was the other one i used to play when i was a kid: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorillas_%28video_game%29 [13:02] I have a bunch of games you can't play on 64bit Windows or Non-Pro Windows 7 versions [13:02] there were more but i can't recall what they were called, played them on an intel 80188 with a monochrome screen [13:02] Sierra has a found a way around this by making installers that apply all the patches and makes it dosbox ready [13:03] It's pretty cool. They have also made ScummVM ready installers too [13:06] charl: You must have had an awesome childhood [13:07] Trixar_za: how so? [13:08] You got to play on a Commodore64 [13:10] Trixar_za: not at all, never owned a commodore [13:11] i only ever owned intel-based architecture (including amd) [13:15] nostalgic how growing up with a C64 is seen as reason to a awesome childhood... I played Snakes on Dos 6.22 if it counts for anything [13:15] The QBasic version? [13:17] oh i had a cellphone based on arm once, now that i think of it, so i have to correct myself lol [13:17] heh i used to program a bit in qbasic in the 90s [13:17] just as a hobby [13:17] hated it though [13:18] http://www.win31.de/esoft.htm [13:18] Check how small Java SDK was [13:18] :P [13:20] first versions of java i used was about 16mb [13:20] lo Trixar_za [13:20] hi Squirm [13:20] lo Squirm [13:20] hey ChanServ [13:20] charl: [13:20] lol [13:21] it happens [13:26] i'm off [13:26] have a good evening all ! === Trixar_za is now known as Trix[a]r_za [13:50] looks like i missed all the interesting converation [13:51] conversation [13:51] lol [14:25] so SA is getting ID cards now? [14:34] anybody know how to get the blackberry setting to make the internet browser graft ??? [14:39] * nlsthzn shudders [14:42] With luck, they'll be less forgeable than ID books. [15:00] sure... like the ever changing passports :/ [15:24] it is not too hard to forge anything when you start with a birth certificate [15:43] later all [19:10] night all . sleep tight
