paveldoes anybody have working lucid servers with juju?09:20
jcastromarcoceppi: did you have a branch for old docs to unscrew up that getting started page from yesterday? Or do you want me to bust it out?12:54
jcastroI can do it, just making sure you hadn't done it already12:54
marcoceppiI don't get around to hacking on it yet, it's all yours12:55
* jcastro nods and gets to work12:56
jcastroman, new-docs can't get here fast enough12:56
pavelhi there12:57
pavelI'm really stuck with JuJu on Lucid. Is it supported at the moment?12:58
jcastroI don't think we've backported all the way to lucid12:58
jcastroJuju first appeared in oneiric!12:58
pavelThough there is a build for lucid in official PPA12:59
jcastromarcoceppi: nuts, I forgot old docs was RST, I see what you did there.13:00
marcoceppi:D13:00
jcastropavel: huh really? I didn't know that.13:00
jcastrowhat version of juju is it?13:00
pavelThe latest I think :D13:00
marcoceppipavel: run juju --version13:00
pavellet me check13:00
marcoceppijcastro: I think this is pyjuju13:00
jcastrooh ok13:00
pavelI don't think I would be able to do this, as far as it crashes on the start13:01
marcoceppipavel: you can run `dpkg -l juju` to get the package version13:02
pavelone sec, booting vagrant13:03
paveloh, it's 0.5.99+bzr604-0juju1~lucid113:03
pavelso I don't have to suppose it would ever work on Lucid?13:03
marcoceppipavel: yeah, the latest version is 0.7 for the 0.x series, the most recent version of juju is up to 1.11 but that hasn't been backported to lucid (or precise) yet13:04
pavelyeah, yeah13:04
pavelI just forget to look for the version13:04
jcastromarcoceppi: pushed, a onceover of my diff would be <313:04
koolhead17jcastro, marcoceppi hello guys13:04
jcastrohazmat: do we have plans to bring .7 back to lucid in the PPA?13:05
marcoceppipavel: yeah, so the juju package in the ppa hasn't been built for lucid in quite a while13:05
pavelmarcoceppi, yep, now it's clear13:06
marcoceppijcastro: we should be able to update the ppa to use the 0.7 build recipe13:07
marcoceppiunless there's a dep issue13:07
jcastromaybe it's an easy fix13:07
jcastrolet's see what kapilt has to say13:07
* marcoceppi nods13:07
pavelit would be great if you update lucid version13:09
pavelI have software which is really hard to install on something other then lucid13:09
jcastrosure, we can investigate13:09
pavelthanks a lot13:10
hazmatjcastro, lucid really?13:11
hazmatjcastro, i don't know that we done any testing on lucid, in a long time.. i think dpb1 tried it out last (within the past few months)13:12
jcastrook13:13
jcastrodpb1: did it even build?13:13
dpb1jcastro: so, there was a change to the packaging to get around a missing dependency or something, and I think that broke lucid.  Here is the last build log I found for it: https://launchpadlibrarian.net/139956755/buildlog.txt.gz  -- it needs someone with python deb knowledge to look and fix it.  At that time, that was the only blocker to getting lucid going13:51
