DanChapmanjibel, hey :-) in the list of required autopkgtests. Under functionality tests it has evince using autopilot. How would this work as a-p-t uses server cloud-images? is there a way to get a desktop env?09:17
jibelDanChapman, Good morning, xvfb is usually a good solution for this kind of testing + dbus-launch if you need a full dbus session09:39
jibelDanChapman, you can look at autopkgtest for apport or ubiquity for example09:39
jibelDanChapman, also for evince, I deployed a job that runs autopilot tests from branch production09:41
jibelDanChapman, results are here https://jenkins.qa.ubuntu.com/job/autopilot-ubuntu-applications/09:41
DanChapmanjibel, awesome cheers. Yeah it was more out of curiosity to see how a-p-t works and since I had an evince test here i thought i would try that. Just a bit of learning really. I didnt realise the production branch was already up on jenkins. I see only firefox is failing atm.09:45

jibelHey balloons14:27
jibelballoons, I added a job for the production branch https://jenkins.qa.ubuntu.com/job/autopilot-ubuntu-applications/14:28
balloonsjibel, :-)14:28
jibelballoons, that's 48 tests14:28
smartboyhwballoons, hey, I started writing my first Autopilot QML test14:28
smartboyhw:P14:28
jibelwell 24 per archi14:28
balloonsahh, kk..14:29
jibelballoons, it runs once a day around 2100UTC14:29
balloonssmartboyhw, ohh nice! how's it going?14:29
jibelballoons, tests run on hardware on intel and ati, if you want to run trunk too, let me know, I'll add another job for that14:29
balloonshmm.. trunk will likely fail, I'm not sure it makes sense to add it.. The only differences would be the failing tests I think :-)14:30
balloonsSo it looks like firefox failed though14:30
DanChapmanballoons, smartboyhw  hey  o/14:30
balloonsDanChapman, hello!14:31
DanChapmanballoons, it looks like the firefox tests are timing out waiting on webpages to load14:31
DanChapmanshould we try increasing the timeout?14:32
balloonslol, nice.. might be a fire wall issue internally14:32
smartboyhwballoons, did the first part14:32
smartboyhwNow trying to understand how to drag the clock interface14:32
DanChapmanahh ok...14:32
smartboyhwI mean, how to drag the minute and hours hands14:32
DanChapmanbrb reboot required...14:33
balloonssmartboyhw, ohh really? there's drag functionality shown in the sdk emulator14:36
balloonslet me grab an example.. basically it's down press, move up press14:37
smartboyhwballoons, we don't want to use the emulator yes14:37
smartboyhw*yet14:37
smartboyhwSince nik90 said he would rather want to wait the functions integrated into sdk before using such functions14:37
balloonssmartboyhw, I meant showing an example of how it worked :-)14:38
smartboyhwballoons, heh14:39
smartboyhwI have code to reference though14:39
smartboyhwBut I am leaving soon for London14:39
balloonsself.autopilot.pointing_device.drag(x, y, stopx, stopy)14:39
balloonsso not too bad14:39
balloonssmartboyhw, ahh yes Lodon.. till August yes?14:40
smartboyhwballoons, July 31st to be exact14:40
smartboyhwI will be back that day14:40
balloonsenjoy your trip14:40
DanChapmancoming to my part of the world smartboyhw14:40
balloonsjibel, so the autopilot tests are really cool, thanks for that. Have you spoken with psivaa about it?14:40
smartboyhwDanChapman, oh really?14:41
DanChapmansmartboyhw, Yeah well im just on the north edge of London14:42
smartboyhwDanChapman, ooh interesting14:42
asacgema_: whats going on with the server smoke tests?14:46
balloonssmartboyhw, yes I think you'll find you can interact with many more folks from London without it being 10 pm at night before they wake up :-)14:49
smartboyhwballoons, lol14:49
gema_asac: they are broken15:01
asacgema_: i see that :) ... but whats the reason? do we know?15:01
jamespageasac, bug 119748415:02
gema_asac: there's a bug attached to it on the report15:02
ubot5bug 1197484 in isc-dhcp (Ubuntu) "Connection requests to saucy server VMs from a precise host fail after fresh VM installs" [High,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/119748415:02
jamespageseems to not be helping much15:02
gema_asac: you can even click on it!15:02
gema_jamespage: what's the problem?15:02
jamespagegema_, just reading it now15:02
gema_jamespage: ack15:02
jamespage(I clicked the link ;-))15:02
gema_jamespage: cool beans :D15:02
* DanChapman is wondering if vala is worth learning15:03
asacgema_: the bug is incomplete15:04
gema_asac: it's not, but jamespage is on it15:05
asacerr ... it was incomplete a few minutes ago15:05
gema_asac: it was marked as incomplete, if you read it, siva already gave more information15:05
elopiohey balloons, what phone should I get to help with dogfooding?15:05
elopiomine has broken, so I'll buy myself something pretty :)15:05
asacgema_: which team is siva ... and which team is jamespage in?15:06
asacjamespage: let me know once you know what the issue was... in particular if it was caused by something like a package update/sync in the core system. thanks15:07
gema_asac: psivaa is in my team and jamespage is on the server team15:07
asackk15:07
balloonselopio, :-) I'm in a similar boat but I've got the tablet to fall back on. I think it probably hard to bypass the price point and availability  on the nexus 4 if you can get it15:11
balloonsthe galaxy nexus works well too, but it's not available so easily15:11
elopioballoons: nexus 4 sounds nice. I might end with a nexus 7 and stop receiving calls when not at home. That might be fun too :)15:14
balloonsohh.. becoming a little disconnected ;-)15:15
balloonselopio, so how's the emulator merges coming along? did you solve the breakage?15:16
elopioballoons: no, my faith is on thomi, I still don't understand it, nor how to debug it.15:17
balloonsahh right15:17
elopioso, instead of working on the emulators I gave a look at otto.15:18
balloonsahh yes, really neat tool15:18
elopiothat's a nice tool, that does a lot of things we are missing on u1.15:18
elopioballoons: lets talkt tomorrow. I'll have some time this week, so if we are still blocked with the emulators, maybe I can help with something else.15:19
smartboyhwballoons, so, how did our Cadence Week 2 testing go?15:20
smartboyhwYou have to summarize:P15:20
senanhi15:32
senan can someone review this http://paste.ubuntu.com/5855690/15:32
senanI am trying to validate title string of empathy in autopilot15:32
balloonssenan, hello15:32
=== plars_ is now known as plars
balloonssmartboyhw, I have to review it, but you too can see what happened by having a look yourself at the milestone15:33
smartboyhwballoons, meh15:33
balloonselopio, sounds like a plan. there's always actualy tests to write15:34
=== balloons changed the topic of #ubuntu-quality to: Welcome to Ubuntu Quality | http://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam | Cadence Week 3 starts July 20th! | Cadence Week Schedule: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/Cadence/Saucy
balloonssmartboyhw, Monday mornings are always busy.. full of planning and review. But I mean to get something out to everyone on how we did.. not just you!15:35
smartboyhwballoons, I didn't do anything:P15:35
balloons;-p15:36
smartboyhwballoons, it's rather interesting, my autopilot test15:36
smartboyhwYou know, it's for Clock app15:36
balloonssenan, ok so I'm having a look at this15:36
smartboyhwAdding a preset timer15:36
senanballoons, thanks15:36
balloonsdoes empathy have a .title property? It says it doesn't ;-)15:37
balloonsI'd have to fire vis up to check, let's see15:37
balloonsohh.. vis has an error looking at this.. interesting15:38
balloonsI should update :-)15:38
balloonsanyways, senan I believe you'll have to use something else to check the title15:40
balloonsI won't know until I update and can run vis :-)15:40
balloonsI take it your writing this for the ubuntu-autopilot-tests project? https://launchpad.net/ubuntu-autopilot-tests/15:41
DanChapmanballoons, i tried empathy the other day and it looked as though it wouldn't load the autopilot interface.15:41
senanballoons, But in the demos the title string is taken kike this15:41
senan*like this15:41
balloonsDanChapman, I agree in the past I don't think it worked.. But it appeared to load for me just now :)15:42
balloonsperhaps pitti's fixes have done there part here15:42
balloonssenan, if you use the old processmanager, aka non-introspection way of loading things yes you can do it like that15:43
balloonsself.app = self.proc_manager.start_app_window("File Browser")15:43
balloonsself.assertThat(lambda: self.app.title, Eventually(Contains('Home')))15:43
balloonsThat for example is from the nautilus case :-)15:43
senanok, what is the new way of comparing the title string ?15:44
balloonsit depends on the app, afaik.. for instance in gedit I see we do this: documents = self.app.select_single('GeditTab')15:44
balloons self.assertThat(lambda: documents[0].name, Eventually(Contains(fileName)))15:44
balloonsyou can see gedit tabs have a name property.. perhaps you'll look at the gtkwindow label, or name15:45
DanChapmanballoons, senan, with empathy on a new install you first have to deal with GOA. which may cause some bother15:45
balloonsgtk is a bit less set in stone with these things than a qml applicatoin15:45
balloonsthe .title property may exist, but on a different root node15:46
* balloons almost finished updating :-)15:46
balloonswe'll have an answer soon enough15:46
senanDan: That I was about to ask15:46
balloonssmartboyhw, is your autopilot test in lp anywherE?15:47
smartboyhwballoons, no.15:47
smartboyhwSince it's still WIP.15:47
balloonsyou should push it up :-)..15:47
smartboyhwballoons, NO.\15:47
smartboyhwIt hasn't been finished and is still crappy.15:47
smartboyhw:P15:47
balloonslol.. ok.. you don't have to merge it, but having it in a branch on lp is useful for just you15:47
balloonsthere's a reason +junk exists, lol15:48
smartboyhwballoons, LOL15:48
smartboyhwROFL15:48
smartboyhwAnyways15:48
balloonssenan, btw, glad your helping out on writing these tests, ty ;-)15:49
balloonsok, wild.. vis still crashes for me15:49
DanChapmansenan, even if we could introspect empathy there have been troubles with introspecting seperate programs within a test like the evince test for example it originally used yelp to create a sample pdf but we were unable to introspect yelp as it wasn't a child window of evince but a seperate process. I imagine GOA would be the same. You could try and hack your way round with loads of keyboard commands but that will get messy15:50
balloonsmm DanChapman I see what you mean.. I get the online account popup right away15:50
DanChapmanballoons, i just tried and it launches empathy fine but doesnt load the auto gtk interface.15:50
balloonsautopilot launch empathy15:51
balloonsAutopilot GTK interface loaded.15:51
DanChapman:-O15:51
DanChapmanIt doesnt for me :-(15:51
balloonssaucy / raring?15:51
DanChapmansaucy15:51
balloonsAutopilot Source Version: 1.3.1 Autopilot Package Version:15:52
balloons1.3.1+13.10.20130703bzr260saucy015:52
balloonssenan, so is this your first go at a gtk autopilot app? If so, I might suggest expanding an existing app or tackling a qml app at first to get your feet wet. Some of the gtk apps don't play so nice and aren't a good way to start :-)15:53
senanballoons: Yes it is. Can you suggest one app ?15:53
balloonsif your open to working on the ubuntu touch core apps, they are in qml and more straightforward to run and test :-) if you want to stay on gtk side of things, look at the trunk branch for ubuntu-autopilot-tests and pick an app you like that already has some tests. It'll be easier for you to add one to it, as everything is already working :-)15:55
* smartboyhw does NOT recommend gtk BTW:P15:56
DanChapmansmartboyhw, where is your sense of adventure :-P15:56
smartboyhwDanChapman, well I'm a new beginner, ofc I don't recommend gtk15:57
balloonsfor example, weather has a nice set of autopilot tests.. it's a core app in qml: https://code.launchpad.net/ubuntu-weather-app15:57
balloonsyou can see how qml works in this little tutorial with an example app: http://developer.ubuntu.com/resources/tutorials/quality/how-to-write-autopilot-tests/15:57
balloonsthe primary difference is that with the qml apps, you have the layout and properties of the items you want to introspect15:58
balloonsyou can open the qml file, see the layout and know what to grab.. Of course you can use the vis tool also, and QT doesn't spawn lots of noise, so the object tree is easier to understand15:59
senanthanks16:01
knomehey balloons :)16:01
balloonsgtk apps can be fun too, because of the challenge of finding out how to introspect them, but you don't need that additional challenge as a beginner16:02
balloonsknome, hello16:02
knomewhat's up?16:03
balloonsknome, well, generally, the sky :-)16:04
knomehar har..16:04
smartboyhwballoons, bad joke there16:04
knomeno, good one, but dry16:05
balloonsi love that joke :-p16:05
* smartboyhw sighs16:05
smartboyhwballoons, we can't write autopilot tests for Mir right? (LOL)16:06
smartboyhwIt's after all a non-GUI test16:06
balloonsMIR's a bite lower level.. in general you don't directly interact with it as  a user16:07
smartboyhwballoons, an autopkgtest?16:08
smartboyhwTriggering the unit tests?16:08
balloonssmartboyhw, yes16:08
smartboyhwballoons, well get someone write one:P16:08
smartboyhwMaybe I will write one one day.16:11
smartboyhwBut for now, it's sleep.16:11
balloonssmartboyhw, well, very soon they will have mir tests landing on the dashboard for this16:11
smartboyhwballoons, great!16:11
smartboyhwI'm thinking of writing autopilot tests for Unity 8 though16:12
* smartboyhw gets full of ideas successfully16:12
balloonssmartboyhw, :-) just ping me before you start.. unity for instance has a nice test suite also16:12
smartboyhwballoons, sure.16:12
smartboyhwGood night balloons16:12
balloonsgood night smartboyhw16:12
DanChapmanballoons, any idea how to get rhythmbox to forget i ever played a music track? even when i delete the playlist, track etc. On relaunch it's still there16:37
balloonsDanChapman, you could try removing via the --purge option to remove the config files16:40
balloonsshould remove all traces16:40
balloonsI'm not sure what . folder/files would need to be removed, but --purge knows :-)16:41
DanChapmanballoons, ok will give that a try cheers fella16:41
balloonswild, launching autopilot with -vvv let's me introspect empathy17:24
balloonssenan.. so autopilot launch empathy, autopilot vis -vvv works :-) The error is still there but it doesn't bomb ou17:25
balloonsxeranas, hello!17:25
xeranas_hi, balloons17:37
balloonshi :-) How's everything going? Autopilot treating you well?17:38
xeranas_I solve "clicking issue" using ubuntusdk.py emulator17:38
xeranas_I wonder is this emulator is official or just for sample17:39
balloonsxeranas_, I wrote the emulator, but elopio has been doing the work to try and make it more integrated officially as part of the sdk17:40
balloonsit's certainly ok to use, but that's the goal and direction17:40
balloonsxeranas, care to share your code? I'll give it a run :-)17:46
xeranas_Since I was do a lot mess with first tries, I begin from scratch on another app, sudoku. But there was no structure created so I create structure with window test copied from rssreader and changing names.17:51
balloonsxeranas, cool!17:52
balloonswell as usual let me know if I can help out. A good first commit would be to add the test structure for the tests17:53
balloonsand maybe one simple test to go with it, so the foundation is in place17:53
xeranas_I'm not very familiar with bzr and launchpad, did there are some review-board or something similar?17:56
balloonsxeranas_, yes you issue what's called a merge request17:57
balloonsI can walk you through it easily enough right now ;-)17:57
balloonswhat's your launchpad id?17:58
xeranas_xeranas18:00
balloonsthis is the official docs on how to do it, but it's pretty simple.. I'll leave it for reference, but we'll walkthrough it together: https://help.launchpad.net/Code/Review/#Proposing_a_merge18:00
balloonsok, so all of your code ends up being visible here: https://code.launchpad.net/~xeranas18:00
balloonsso at the moment, you haven't pushed anything to launchpad18:00
balloonsxeranas_, so first there's a one time setup you'll need to do18:01
balloonshttps://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/ContributingTestcases/Launchpad#SSH_keys18:01
balloonsbasically create an ssh key and setup bzr.. It should only take a couple mins to do it. Once that's done I'll help you with the next step18:01
balloonsfortunately you only have to do this setup once :-)18:02
xeranas_added18:11
balloonsxeranas_, cool I see the ssh key :-)18:11
balloonsok so you've changed some things in the source code correct?18:11
balloonsso you'll need to commit them to bzr so all your changes are accounted for18:12
balloonswhat's bzr status show?18:12
balloonsif everything is committed all you need to do is push the branch to launchpad and ask it to be merged18:12
balloonsif not, let's commit it :-)18:12
balloonsDanChapman, do you plan to expand the ubiquity testcases to beyond the default install or ?18:13
DanChapmanballoons, Yes i would love to if its wanted?18:14
balloonsDanChapman, I would love to see it all the mandatory ones covered18:14
balloonsalso I wanted to get it added to the daily smoke testing asap.. has it merged into ubiquity?18:15
xnoxnot yet.18:15
balloonsxnox, ;-)18:16
DanChapmanballoons, well I will make a start on them then.18:16
balloonsDanChapman, that would be cool to have the whole suite.. really cool. I think you've done 90% of the work, as it's just about selecting slightly different things..18:17
balloonsxeranas_, so did you follow everything I wrote?18:18
xeranas_balloons: after commit, comes command 'push'? just like in mercurial?18:18
balloonsxeranas_, yep bzr push18:18
balloonsxeranas_, in this case it would look something like this bzr push lp:~xerans/sudoku-app/YOUR_NAME_FOR_BRANCH18:19
balloonsxeranas_, when you do that it will end up in 2 places.. here; https://code.launchpad.net/sudoku-app and here: https://code.launchpad.net/~xeranas18:19
balloonsthen you click on it and select propose for merge.. ;-)18:20
DanChapmanballoons, yeah i thought it would be as well. :-)18:21
xeranas_balloons: did I need create branch before push?18:23
DanChapmanballoons, have you noticed nautilus can now be introspected? I will create a bug for it so we can get it off using procmanager and get it into production18:23
balloonsxeranas_, the branch your pushing should be a copy of your local bzr branch18:23
balloonsDanChapman, ?! I had heard rumors :-)18:24
balloonsDanChapman, vasudevan has been working on it.. I think he could use some of your help18:24
xeranas_balloons: bzr: ERROR: Invalid url supplied to transport: "bzr+ssh://bazaar.launchpad.net/~xeranas/sudoku-app/autopilot-training": no supported schemes18:25
xeranas_probably I should read bzr manuals before start using it:)18:26
balloonsxeranas_, :-) No worries!18:26
balloonsso you did bzr push lp:~xeranas/sudoku-app/autopilot-training18:27
DanChapmanballoons, cool, i'll send him an email if I don't see him on here today.18:28
xeranas_balloons: yea18:28
balloonshmm.. that should work18:29
balloonsohh18:29
balloonsbzr whoami18:29
balloonswhat does it say?18:29
xeranas_it says xeranas and my email, bzr force me to do whoami before commit18:30
balloonsright, good :-)18:30
balloonsso that's a bit weird18:30
xeranas_maybe ssh keys problem, it always pain to set up github for me, so I end up using https.. in most cases18:31
balloonswell try again and see if it happens again18:31
balloonsif so we'll try pushing to +junk and then doing something a bit more interesting18:31
xeranas_before that I will try several more times, maybe recreate ssh keys18:33
balloonssorry for the trouble :-(18:33
xeranas_balloons: done, seems I forget "bzr launchpad-login xeranas"18:38
balloonsxeranas_, right.. I suspected that as the problem.. hence the whoami question.. I should have just told you to run that command anyway18:39
balloonssorry!18:39
xeranas_balloons: is there any information what should I wrote in "Propose branch for merging"? or leave defaults?18:39
balloonsahh... you found the link :-) Yes, so add a brief description about what you've done so people can review and understand the merge request18:40
balloonssomething like added autopilot tests structure, etc works fine18:41
balloonsdoesn't have to be big or long, just anything that might be needed to review18:41
xeranas_Reviewers leave blank, or I need specified?18:44
balloonsyou can leave them blank18:46
balloonsthey will default automatically18:46
balloonsxeranas_, I see one small change for you to make :-)18:48
xeranas_balloons: ok, thanks for guide to bzr and launchpad :)18:49
balloonsin tests/autopilot/sudoku_app/emulators/main_window.py, you still have ""RSS Reader app autopilot emulators.""".. probably want to rename that :-)18:49
xeranas_yea :)18:49
balloonsxeranas_, your most welcome. I'm going to share your work with everyone! It's exciting to see new people writing tests!18:49
balloonsyou can simply update your branch and push it again to the same place18:50
balloonsthe merge proposal will automatically update :-)18:50
balloonsohh, one more thing, you don't need the get_item() function from mainwindow.py either so probably makes sense to get rid of it  too :-)18:51
xeranas_balloons: yea18:53
balloonsSo you've come full circle now! Think you've got a better understanding on how to write tests and contribute?18:54
xeranas_balloons: real experience always best way to learn18:55
balloonsxeranas_, indeed..19:01
balloonsLetozaf_, evening!19:30
DanChapmanLetozaf_, Hey :-)19:31
=== ara is now known as Guest89175
Letozaf_balloons, hello19:36
Letozaf_DanChapman, Hey19:36
Letozaf_balloons, did you read my mail ?19:36
balloonsLetozaf_, not sure if I did or not.. The email box is quite full still :-)19:37
balloonsit's funny how 1 day off throws away for a loop :-)19:38
Letozaf_balloons, yeah! can immagine, sorry forgot about the 4th July :D19:38
Letozaf_balloons, well I wanted to share a mail with you from  Joey Chan on Autopilot19:39
balloonsLetozaf_, ahh, ok.. I wanted to circle back on the rss reader stuff :-)19:39
balloonsI feel like your merge has been pending out there forever :-)19:39
Letozaf_balloons, yes I have also the Calendar-app that's pending since  06-2719:39
balloonswowzers.. so yea, let's fix that :-)19:40
Letozaf_balloons, but if you read Joey's mail maybe the answer is ther19:40
Letozaf_sorry there19:40
Letozaf_balloons, not sure if it's better to wait or continue with Autopilot core app tests19:41
balloonslet me find and read :-)19:46
balloonsLetozaf_, I don't see anything newer than 6/29 from you19:46
balloonscan you send again?19:47
Letozaf_balloons, do you mean the mail or the merge proposal ?19:47
balloonsthe mail you speak of19:47
balloonsthen we'll talk about the merge proposals19:47
Letozaf_balloons, ah!  I think the mail is from yesterday or saturday19:47
Letozaf_balloons, the merge proposal is from 6-2719:48
balloonsright.. thunderbird shows nothing from carla, so ?19:48
Letozaf_balloons, but I can send it again19:48
balloons:-)19:48
Letozaf_balloons, just sent it19:48
Letozaf_balloons, subject [Merge]lp:~carla-sella....19:49
balloonsweird.. why don't i see it?19:51
balloonsohh.. filters19:51
balloonszzzzzzz19:51
Letozaf_balloons, lol19:51
balloonsit went into the automated messages for merges19:52
balloonsthere's 388 messages in there, good luck :-)19:52
Letozaf_balloons, 388 wow!19:52
Letozaf_balloons, that means a lot of work to do :-Dì)19:52
balloonsLetozaf_, ahh ok I see the mail now19:54
Letozaf_balloons, fiew :-)19:55
balloonswhew.. yes I think it's a-ok to get the tests in.. we can update them as the code changes19:55
balloonsno big deal19:55
Letozaf_balloons, fine so I will continue with other tests on rssreader-app19:55
balloonsso let's go look at everything you have pending an get it merged19:55
Letozaf_balloons, what about the Calendar-app ?19:55
balloonsk, I see https://code.launchpad.net/~carla-sella/ubuntu-rssreader-app/ubuntu-rssreader-test-add-view-feeds/+merge/17331619:56
balloonshttps://code.launchpad.net/~carla-sella/ubuntu-calendar-app/new-event-test/+merge/17187819:56
balloonsso for the calendar, the devs paused everything because they are reworking the app.. still, I will followup and get them to accept/reject/comment on the merge19:57
balloonsthe rss reader shouldn't have any issues and should just be merged :-)19:57
balloonsand you reset the name right, because autolanding on the rss reader still failed19:58
balloonswe can't merge if it's failing :-(19:58
Letozaf_balloons, yeah but why is it failing ??19:59
Letozaf_balloons, I also added some new tests19:59
Letozaf_balloons, can I fix it some way ?19:59
balloonsLetozaf_, let's go look at the test runs to see why it's failing20:01
balloonsit shows success for both runs for me on the comment, but then overall a failure20:01
balloonsI'm confused20:02
Letozaf_balloons, don't tell me :P20:02
balloonsfginther, are you about?20:02
fgintherballoons, hello20:04
balloonsfginther, can I bug you for just a moment to look at this merge and see why jenkins failed it? https://code.launchpad.net/~carla-sella/ubuntu-rssreader-app/ubuntu-rssreader-test-add-view-feeds/+merge/17331620:05
balloonsmm.. wait, I do think I finally see some failures20:06
balloonsLetozaf_, http://91.189.93.70:8080/job/generic-mediumtests/44/20:06
fgintherballoons, yes, the autopilot tests failed. However, there also appears to be a bug in the jenkins tools. It should indicate the failure in the launchpad comment20:07
balloonsfginther, sure.. It's confusing to read and look at.. At first glance everything I looked through passed with success, and the commend says so too :-)20:07
Letozaf_balloons, fginther the weired thing is that on my notebook everything works fine without errors20:10
Letozaf_balloons, do not understand why in Jenkins I get those errors how do I fix them if I do not get them on my notebook20:10
Letozaf_?20:10
fgintherLetozaf_, it could be a missing dependency or some other difference in the environment20:11
fgintherLetozaf_, I'll take a look since this testing is relatively new20:11
Letozaf_fginther, thanks20:12
balloonsfginther, ohh, thank you for the offer!20:12
DanChapmanRight im calling it a day. See you all tomorrow folks20:19
balloonsDanChapman, night mate!20:20
Letozaf_DanChapman, 'night20:20
Noskcajballoons, i've left a few of the manual testcase merges for you, can you have a look at them?20:53
balloonsNoskcaj, shoot20:55
Noskcajmy parole one: https://code.launchpad.net/~noskcaj/ubuntu-manual-tests/parole/+merge/172212 and elfy's three: https://code.launchpad.net/~elfy/ubuntu-manual-tests/XFCESession/+merge/172539 https://code.launchpad.net/~elfy/ubuntu-manual-tests/1574_xfce4settings/+merge/172850 https://code.launchpad.net/~elfy/ubuntu-manual-tests/XFCE_App_finder/+merge/17281120:57
Noskcajalso, what things do we want in the "xfce" folder and what don't we20:57
Noskcajand you have a lot to update on the qa-tracker. lots of testcases came in on the weekend20:58
balloonsNoskcaj, :-) keeping me busy :-)21:09
Noskcajthat's my plan21:10
balloonson the xfce thing, knome moved things over into it.. my guess is all the xfce specific stuff they want to go in there, since it's large enough to sort out21:10
balloonsit doesn't affect the syncing in any way.. so the sorting is just for us21:10
Noskcajok, when kknome is next online i'll see if he wants the other xfce4 things in there21:10

balloonsNoskcaj, perfect21:17
=== salem_ is now known as _salem
knomeNoskcaj, yes, the ideal solution would be to group all the things under the Xfce subdirectory21:24
Noskcajknome, should i add bulk_renamer and the three xfce4 tests to it then21:26
knomewhat are the "three xfce4 tests" ?21:26
knomebulk renamer is thunar, right? will there be other thunar tests? (most possibly yes)21:27
knomemaybe the thunar tests can be left out at least21:27
Noskcajxfce4panel, xfce4settings and xfce4 ppearance settings21:29
Noskcaj*appearance21:29
knomesettings and appearance can go at least, i'm not sure about panel21:30
knomeit can go under the xfce subdir at least in bzr21:30
Noskcajknome, if you responded, i didn't see it. my internet keeps crashing in 13.1021:42
knome00:30  knome: settings and appearance can go at least, i'm not sure about panel21:44
knome00:30  knome: it can go under the xfce subdir at least in bzr21:44
Noskcajok, so all three?21:47
knomeyes.21:48
Noskcajknome, should xfdeesktop settings be in xfce? (it's a new test)21:50
knomewe can group that too21:51
Noskcajok, everything is being pushed now21:52
