| rww | I expect that Wayland taking a while is because when Wayland got started, there was a bunch of work that needed doing before it could get going, e.g. in the upstream Linux kernel. Some of the graphics improvements like KMS we've had relatively recently in Linuxland seem to be very useful to Wayland (and other graphics stuff, including I expect Mir, though I haven't looked at the Mir code to see). | 23:56 |
