bobobohey guys I installed ubuntu 13.04 on macbook pro.  I am trying to kick up fanspeed, burning my legs off.  I found http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1645913&p=10246215#post10246215 , but when I try to install that package, I get E: Unable to locate package applesmc-dkms  Anyone know of a way to fix this?17:07
boboboI also get this :  sudo pwmconfig # pwmconfig revision 5857 (2010-08-22) This program will search your sensors for pulse width modulation (pwm) controls, and test each one to see if it controls a fan on your motherboard. Note that many motherboards do not have pwm circuitry installed, even if your sensor chip supports pwm.  We will attempt to briefly stop each fan using the pwm controls. The program will attempt to restore17:08
boboboHowever, it is ** very important ** that you physically verify that the fans have been to full speed after the program has completed.  /usr/sbin/pwmconfig: There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed17:08
boboboi think I stuck :(17:09
boboboreally just need to run the fans faster to bring down the temp.  Max is fine, just don't know how to do that :)17:13
