[20:36] <slangasek> Noskcaj: so this patch was added back when Scott was actively maintaining libtool, at least if Ubuntu if not in Debian.  But I can't sort out why it was ever needed.  I would suggest dropping the patch and making autoconf a sync.
[20:36] <slangasek> autoreconf already supports autodetecting if libtool is used, and if it's not used I don't see why we care about running libtoolize
