=== DJOmnifrog is now known as Omnifrog
wrstOmnifrog: DJ'ing go well tonight?01:13
Omnifrogyeah, it usually does even if I have no idea what I'm doing01:14
wrstha ha sometimes that's when I do my best01:15
OmnifrogI'm pretty flexible though01:15
OmnifrogI just roll with it01:15
OmnifrogSaturday nights are generally slow too01:16
wrstI am a fan of slow01:28
wrsthowdy eights01:37
eightswrst, how are you?01:43
wrstgood how are you doing?01:43
eightswrst, im doing well, you?01:59
wrstyep getting adjusted to kde01:59
eightsoh yea? how you like it? always been a gnome freak, i tried kde is  its 3.0 stages it was  alright, ive seen the newer version it looks sweet02:01
Omnifroggnome blows02:01
Omnifrog>.>02:01
eightsgnome with all panels removed, cario-dock installed with compiz, works lovely for me ;) lol02:02
eightsgnome-fallback-session i should say02:03
OmnifrogI'm a fussy bastard but I've never liked gnome02:05
OmnifrogI've tried! lord knows I've tried02:05
wrsteights: kde 4.11 is solid02:07
wrsteverything works they aren't taking features away02:08
wrstI have always loved gnome02:08
wrstbut my main reason was trying out the kde connect stuff its very early but pretty neat02:08
eightsill deff check it out, i like trying new environments02:08
wrstin stock form its very Windows 7 looking but you can tweak it crazily02:09
wrstcompositing works much better than mutter or clutter or whatever it is gnome uses now02:09
wrstI think it has a more polished default look and feel also, but the extensions with gnome shell are really nice02:10
wrsthere is my current setup, not a lot changed from default: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2959906/kde411.png02:13
eightswrst, i like it, very very clean. here is my current: http://tinypic.com/r/9r24ib/502:22
wrstI like that02:23
wrstand I have wondered why gnome didn't put the dock at the bottom?02:23
wrstI used an extension to just autohide the regualr gnome dock and it worked well but never as good as having it at the bottom02:23
eightsyou can add the "applications menu" to a bottom gnome panel and have it look and have a "similar" feel to win02:24
eightsive always just removed all the panels execpt the top one and used another "docker" application like cario02:25
wrstcairo is nice02:25
wrstI have used it with xfce before02:25
eightsyou can custimize it to look like win osx etc i like it too02:25
wrstbut must say for a default setup kde really is nice, and I suppose unity is ok fi you are into that type of thing02:27
eightsyea cant stand unity, i always install the gnome classic shell with a default ubuntu install02:28
wrstyeah I'm not totally sold with all the convergence jazz02:29
wrstgoodnight everyone02:35
* wrst heads to sleepy town02:35
