technolo-ghi all :)18:56
technolo-gim having an issue in which cloud-init on rhel is not utilizing the config_drive provided by openstack. im currently running 0.6.3-0.12. Is it just too old of a version to pick up the configdrive (which is properly provided as disk by label config-2)18:56
smosertechnolo-g, config-drive-v2 support came in 0.7.019:04
smoserubuntu carries backport to 12.04's 0.6.319:04
technolo-ghas anyone built >0.7.x on rhel6 do you know?19:05
smosertechnolo-g, i dont know. harlowja ^ 19:17
harlowjaya, its been built19:18
harlowjain active use at y!19:18
harlowjarhel version 6.2, 6.319:18
technolo-ggreat, thanks guys. I'll see if i can track it down.19:19
technolo-gonce it is installed, it should automatically be looking for that configdrive correct? or do i need to specify a datasource?19:19
smoserprobably should, yesh.19:20
technolo-gexcellente, thanks again :)19:22
technolo-gok, sorry for the lazy questions, but im having a hard time finding how to explicitly set a datasource on an installed cloud-init. would it be possible to point me in the right direction? The datasources doc does not (that i can see) demonstrate how to set the datasource19:43
smosertechnolo-g, well its just a cloud.cfg setting.19:45
smoserdatasource_list: [ NoCloud, ConfigDrive, OpenNebula, Azure, AltCloud, OVF, MAAS, Ec2, CloudStack, None ]19:45
smoserunless your config (or packaged config) overwrote it, it should be there.19:45
technolo-gok cool, i do have that. ill give it a shot19:48
technolo-galrighty, so running 0.7.1 (the only srpm i could find that would build on rhel6), when specifying the ConfigDrive datasource it just doesn't seem to find anything. i am still able to mount the configdrive itself and browse the contents. am i hitting this fix maybe?21:04
technolo-g- allow config-drive-data to come from a CD device by more correctly21:04
technolo-g   filtering out partitions.  (LP: #1100545)21:04
technolo-gthat was it :) now to do it cleanly21:34
