[14:11] caodepalha: ideally, line6 would officially support linux, and you could ask them [14:11] !proaudio [14:11] For information on professional audio tools in Ubuntu, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuStudio/ProAudioIntro [14:11] ^^ i would try just normal audio troubleshooting.. what i would do would look something like this... [14:13] plug it in to the machine directly, not in a USB hub.. i would try and determine IRQ sharing issues if needed by looking at (in a terminal) "cat /proc/interrupts" [14:14] then, i would try "aplay -l" and "arecord -l" and maybe "lsusb" to see that the operating system and alsa are able to see the device and is at least trying to provide a driver [14:14] then,, i would just fire up qjackctl, and select *all* possible devices there (from both dropdown menus) [14:15] sometimes, there can be 6 or 8 combinations to try there, and if im worried or concerned about messing up my current installation, i'll use a live CD to test the actual device with JACK via qjackctl [14:15] if its an option, i will disable the onboard sound card in the bios [14:16] then, i would move on from there, if i cant get the device working.. i would search "ubuntu the exact model" and "debian the exact model" and "linux the exact model" and see if i can find literally anyone using theis device in any way with any distro === HisaoNakai_ is now known as HisaoNakai
