Frank81Hi Some one now plz help me to solve or even Report my bug i have since Ubuntu 13 no usb keyboard support anymore even if the usbhid driver gets loaded i use a logitech k120 keyboard and couldn't verify if the problem still exists when the system is fully booted since i use LUKS and can't enter the password the problem apears on every kernel version higher then 3.811:29
Frank81i figured my self out that the initrd img contains and loads all nessery drivers but they are probally broken i don't know if the keyboard support is broken or the complet usb support i would say its the complet usb support that don't works11:30
Frank81The Mainboard is from Gigabyte11:35

loatankdriver, i saw only one alive15:09
taoseekervery active on the mail list though15:09
taoseekerlol, there are not many around of the old ones15:10
trismtaoseeker: I believe they are still building ppc packages but they dropped the ubuntu ppc livecd, I think lubuntu is keeping it though: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/daily-live/current/15:10
taoseekerthanks15:11
bekks!ppc15:11
taoseekerI am being booted from #ubuntu-testing15:11
ubottuPowerPC.  Formerly used by Apple for the Macintosh line of computers. Variants are now used in popular gaming consoles. PPC was a fully supported Ubuntu architecture up to and including edgy. It is now a community port, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PowerPCFAQ15:11
taoseekerthere are some still in use, some die hard apple guys15:12
taoseekerand a few with new IBM processors, playing around with server hardware15:12
penguin42taoseeker: I do know someone who was using a PPC mac laptop until last year (running MacOS)15:13
penguin42and I mean using it as his main machine15:13
taoseekeryeah, I noticed on a mac forum, an entire section with the G4 and G5 comptuers still running fine15:14
taoseekerG5 are still fairly up to date regarding power and speed15:14
penguin42taoseeker: Nah15:14
taoseekernot with the latest os though15:14
taoseekerI suppose there is little point in keeping up old hardware, Samsung 9 series are so light and easy to carry around15:15
Frank8113:29:40 - Frank81: Hi Some one now plz help me to solve or even Report my bug i have since Ubuntu 13 no usb keyboard support anymore even if the usbhid driver gets loaded i use a logitech k120 keyboard and couldn't verify if the problem still exists when the system is fully booted since i use LUKS and can't enter the password the problem apears on every kernel version higher then 3.815:18

taoseekerI don't notice much difference with regular use on a G5, but actual speed and power is way behind of course15:18
taoseekerI will just toss out my G4 ibook if there is no need for testers15:18
taoseekerI don't use mac much anymore15:19
Frank81no one whants or needs apple products at all15:19
taoseekerat least at the moment,15:19
Frank81only novice people buy mac so its not importent and they even buy mac coz mac os and not coz ubuntu15:19
taoseekerhmm, we do obviously not move in the same circles15:19
Frank81thats right i don't hang around with people that buy mac coz they think it looks good my frinds buy hardware coz it can handle load x in time x15:20
penguin42Frank81: The displays are nice on them - I know a lot of geeks with them15:20
taoseekermaybe, but most I know don't bother too much about os15:20
Frank81penguine wanna be geeks probally15:20
taoseekerthey are taken by the mac design I think and their commercials15:21
Frank81realy geeks would use something like odroid or even rasbary15:21
Frank81PI15:21
taoseekerlol15:21
penguin42haha no15:21
Frank81why not since you can even run graphical desktops on cloud infra15:21
Frank81there is no need for hav a big pc at home15:22
Frank81if i wanna render video i do it in the cloud15:22
Frank81in minuts not hours15:22
Frank81i could even play starcraft II in amazon cloud without gap15:22
bekksAnd you spend hours of uploading and downloading your video ;)15:23
Frank81maybe you hang around with people from 199015:23
taoseekerI still like laptops, the slim new ones15:23
Frank81bekks i have oc315:23

penguin42taoseeker: To be fair a lot of the tablets are developing good keyboard add ons15:24
Frank81penguin but ubuntu hates keyboards since 13.115:24
Frank81my usb logitech keyboard don't works anymore15:24
Frank81or any other usb keyboard15:24
Frank81:D15:24
taoseekerI don't mind tablets, but I sort of cannot live with only a tablet,15:28
