I saw the bug repport https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1182868 which is 'invalid' and says that it should be corrected in kernel 3.8.0-22.33 I'm using the kernel 3.11.0-8 so is it a regression. I'm not able to find another bug repport about that.

Looking at iotop, when I move the GNOME System Log window around the screen, dconf-service starts writing /megabytes/ of data to the disk. It isn't just GNOME System Log, but that's the main offender for me. Does anyone else have this problem?
