[03:20] Hi, good people is https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/activity-log-manager/+bug/1225804 still locked up in "private"? [03:21] phillw: Error: launchpad bug 1225804 not found [03:21] thanks ubot, most helpful :P [10:55] hi, could someone nominate https://bugs.launchpad.net/beautifulsoup/+bug/972466 for Precise (SRU)? [11:17] ockham: it was closed on 2012-04-04, are you sure it affects precise? [11:27] mitya57: yeah, in 4.0.3, which was released on 2013-04.03. but precise has 4.0.2-1. [11:29] ockham: nominated [11:29] mitya57: thx [11:42] mitya57: patch is at http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~leonardr/beautifulsoup/bs4/revision/203 -- is it enough to add it to the bug report? or should i add it to the package and bump the changelog (to what version?) and ask someone to sponsor? [11:43] ochkam: debdiff or merge proposal is the preferred way [11:45] version = 4.0.2-1ubuntu0.1 [12:03] haven't used bzr in a while. did bzr branch lp:ubuntu/precise/beautifulsoup4 [12:04] now how do i create a branch named lp972466, commit my changes, push them to LP and file a merge request? [12:04] s/request/proposal/ [12:05] make changes [12:06] bzr commit --fixes lp:972466 [12:06] bzr push lp:~yourlpname/ubuntu/precise/beautifulsoup4/lp972466 [12:07] will do, thx [12:07] * mitya57 → afk [12:46] damn. using bzr-buildpackage, but my patch isn't applied. d/rules is overriding some dh_ sections -- which one invokes quilt normally in a 3.0 (quilt) format package? [12:48] ah wait, i gutess i need to commit this first so bzr-buildpackage picks it up at all, right? [12:48] *guess [14:23] allo, i accidentally set a bug status wrong and can't fix it :( [14:24] fehwalker: Which one [14:24] https://bugs.launchpad.net/hplip/+bug/1197306 [14:24] hplip(Ubuntu) should not be fix released [14:24] * penguin42 will change it [14:25] thanks! [14:25] fehwalker: But the upstream one should be? [14:25] i think so, that was set before i touched it [14:26] i just added the ubuntu package, then messed up the status [14:26] ok [14:27] done [14:28] thanks again! [14:29] np [21:48] hmm... [21:48] anyone know where I can send this installation report for the 13.10 beta2 amd64 stuff, its on the bugsquad ML i'm not sure it's in the right place though... it talks a lot about the installer and the installation process, anyone know who needs to look at that? [21:49] TheLordOfTime: It has a lot of issues in it. In one respect it should go to Italian translators, another it has a ubiquity issue. As to the root password issue...by default we don't configure a password for a root account. That's been normal practice for several years. [21:50] skellat, that part i'm aware of [21:50] you're right, it's got multiple issues [21:50] there looks to be two bug reports and a comment about "Hey, there's no root pw" in this [21:52] Well, the Ubuntu Installer Team doesn't have a mailing list so a bug would need to be filed against ubiquity as to the shutdown issue. [21:52] i think i could poke the dev team and get them to take a peek [21:52] but yes a bug report is probably needed. [21:53] skellat, i did reply to their message, though [21:54] Just read through it and it looks good. We can just wait for bugs to be filed. [22:02] skellat: TheLordOfTime: there is a mailing list ubuntu-installer@lists.ubuntu.com [22:03] https://lists.ubuntu.com/ [22:03] skellat: why do you say there isn't? there is also #ubuntu-installer
