AskUbuntuUbuntu & Android question | http://askubuntu.com/q/35395808:30
loolslangasek: tried to find things keeping / rw, did lsof > lsof and grep 'root.*[0-9]w.*/' lsof | grep -v /var/log | grep -v /dev, only getting results in /run/systemd, /sys/kernel/debug, /var/lib/NetworkManager, lsof output file itself09:30
ogra_lool, oh, i actually noticed that my first bootchart always has an fsck (usually i flash freshly, make the fs rw, install bootchart and reboot, the second chart doesnt have fsck actions anymore)09:33
ogra_that might be related09:33
loologra_: related to staying rw?09:34
loolor to corruption?09:34
ogra_well, i think it is related to the switch from ro to rw09:35
loologra_: what's clear is that shutdown/reboot doesn't clearly unmount everything, it must be blocked by something; if I could at least track what's preventing me from remounting ro, I could avoid the issue in testing09:35
=== chihchun_afk is now known as chihchun
loologra_: maybe, maybe we'd have the same issue on rw09:35
ogra_if you boot ro it might be that stephane just skips unmounting (why would he need it, its all ro)09:36
ogra_so if you switch your first shutdown might inherit that behavior09:36
ogra_or something like that09:37
loologra_: We're still going through shutdown sequence; also keep in mind the ro and rw filesystems in the ro image are all backed up by a single rw fs!10:17
loolthis latter one needs clean unmounting10:18

Pinakhello.,.,I have some questions15:19
smartboyhw!ask | Pinak15:20
ubot5Pinak: Please don't ask to ask a question, simply ask the question (all on ONE line and in the channel, so that others can read and follow it easily). If anyone knows the answer they will most likely reply. :-) See also !patience15:20

popeyPinak: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Install15:20

slangaseklool: how about: sudo fuser -vm / 2>&1 | grep F ?16:57
loolslangasek: thanks, will try that next time17:09
lool"fuser" is the command I was trying to remember17:09
timppaHi, is there an irc channel for ubuntu touch app development questions? Or is this the right place?18:37
popeytimppa: #ubuntu-app-devel18:38
timppapopey: thanks!18:39
timppapopey: Should GPS work on touch on latest build?18:46
popeytimppa: yes, but takes a long time to lock18:51
timppapopey: how long? Like really really long? :)18:52
timppapopey: either my code does not work or it takes literally ages to lock. Is there any way to see GPS output before it locks?18:54
nhainesWithout AGPS data, GPS usually takes 2-5 minutes to lock.19:01
nhainesI guess my question is, does any core app use GPS?  :)19:01
timppaIn that case my code does not work...19:02
nhainesI also wonder what was in update 82, but those questions really are better served before I start the update anyway.  ;)19:02
timppanhaines: that would be nice to know yes19:05
timppanhaines: it's a shame that http://people.canonical.com/~j-lallement/touch/changes/ has not been updated anymore19:06
nhainestimppa: the mailing list does have some beautiful update wrapups, though.19:09
timppanhaines: They were awesome when Didier Roche wrote them. Was there an update from the latest build?19:11
nhainestimppa: no, but he's on vacation until Thursday.  Someone else is supposed to be writing them now.19:16
timppanhaines: ok19:16
nhainesI wish they could get Mir up and running.  It'd be nice to be able to show friends *something* where it's running.19:19
nhainesMir's a desktop requirement for click apps, too.  Input isolation if I recall.19:20
popeytimppa: the person who updates that page had a system outage, it'll get updated in due course19:24
timppapopey: That's awesome!19:30

UFeindschiffHi, I've got a problem. Just did a manual install of Ubuntu Touch on my Galaxy Nexus. Works fine atm and looks great, but I have a problem accessing my device using ssh. I've installed openssh-server and ssh using the adb shell, but port 22 is still closed. I've already restarted the ssh service and also rebooted the device, but nmap still says that port 22 is closed. Is anyone here able to help me ou?23:25
