=== Lcawte is now known as Lcawte|Away [05:38] f1! [06:09] vroom. [06:43] aloha [06:49] o hai [06:56] time for bed [07:03] time for F1. [07:03] nooooo [07:05] That's not optional. :D [07:05] i'd rather beat my head against the wall [07:06] I'd rather do anything painless then cause physical pain for myself. :/ [07:07] F1 *is* pain! [07:07] ;) [07:07] anywho nn \o [07:36] hmm [07:36] apport seems to be not working [07:37] have had 3 crashes [07:37] and it refuses to run when you click submit report [07:37] *boggles* [07:49] popey: I can barely listen podcasts that last 20 minutes... [07:49] otherwise a good idea [08:11] Myrtti: you get bored? [08:13] my concentration drifts too badly [08:14] I've got bazillion podcasts on my phone that I regularly skip because they're too long and usually on the treshold of being boring enough that I tune out after five minutes [08:24] this happens to me too :\ [08:24] czajkowski: thats normal isnt it? [08:37] popey: not sure tbh [08:37] I'd expect to see it collect data and open up [08:41] we switch off apport at release though [08:41] hmm [08:42] so crashes get reported to daisy by whoopsie [08:42] you can see them if you ls /var/crash [08:42] but we don't trigger the bug reporter in the stable release [08:42] you can re-enable that if you want though, i have it always on [08:43] ah ok [08:44] popey: http://ubuntuone.com/1wbnOxVcw4SrHa5V6zOvjN [08:45] one of the isues I see [08:45] the image you cant make out correctly [08:45] but when you click report [08:45] nothing happen [08:45] s [08:45] you have no network? [08:46] I have though am/was connected [08:46] you weren't in that screenshot [08:47] note no network and dropbox not connected [08:50] true [09:05] trying my best not to mention the wallpaper, but it's not easy [09:06] wallpaer? [09:06] *wallpaper? [09:06] the .. dog? [09:07] the hen :) [09:08] I see [09:55] good morning everyone, [09:57] * SuperEngineer looks at list of installed Steam games... hopes a psychiatrist never see it ;) [09:58] ["..& how just how long have you this weird, Mr. SuperEngineer?"] [09:58] *you been === Lcawte|Away is now known as Lcawte [10:31] SuperEngineer: I fear if the men in white coats are calling you Mr SuperEngineer, you may already be past the point of no return [10:38] shauno: ;) [11:54] hello [13:08] Groggy afternoon peeps :S [13:09] * penguin42 yawns at bigcalm [13:17] does anyone knwo the difference between sennheisr cx175 and cx200 (and cx300?) [13:17] i have the cx300 which i bought for £16. now the cx300 II are ~£34 [13:20] mungbean_: maybe a bit of frequency response or durability? [13:22] http://24.media.tumblr.com/f8a185f17a4a8dffb1f10de1868e9d5d/tumblr_mtk35ywrt31sd9kedo1_500.jpg [13:26] i think the cx175 seem nicer than the cx200 [13:26] very unclear though on the differences [13:27] perhaps it;s just another £18 [13:28] directhex: any of the resident evil games any good? [13:28] given they're on sale [13:28] 5 seems a steal at £3.50 [13:29] i loved the original 1 and 2 on the ps [13:30] although almost had heart attack mutiple occasions when a zombie bites you suddenly [13:36] the strap on my casio f91w has split :( [13:36] popey: you ever buy straps or just new watches? [13:36] i have yet to break a strap [13:36] and i have 4 watches, so spread the load [13:36] The cold of the strap for a f91w would be higher than just buying a new one [13:37] s/cold/cost [13:39] the strap split in a strange place [13:39] as if somebody almost cut right through it with scissors [13:39] Swindon? [13:40] only 2yrs old [13:41] i dont wear mine often [13:41] :o [13:41] i don'ttake mine off often [13:41] I tend to only wear mine when out and about [13:41] So not often at all [13:41] even wear in bed [13:42] Sounds like me aged 6 -> 13 [13:44] i wake up at night a lot (babies, children crying) [13:44] and glancing at the little watch is the least wakey uppey way to check time [13:45] too much light into eyeballs = awake [13:54] * popey had a quick blast of Enemy Territory which was fun! [18:28] hello? === elliott_ is now known as Guest22560 [19:25] popey, 6 is dreadful. 5 is okay. capcom games are mostly affected by the GFWL shutdown & will be bricked in july 2014 [19:31] today's 1-day thing is Dead Rising. DR2 is excellent - but it's going to be bricked in July since it uses GFWL server-side activation [19:32] capcom have issued no statements at all about plans to fix the GWFL situation, except to say that the Street fighter 4 dlc, Ultra Street Fighter 4, will remove GFWL - the base game will keep using it [19:34] bummer [19:34] games in this sale which are being bricked: Street Fighter X Tekken, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, Lost Planet 2, Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, Dead Rising 2 [19:36] games which aren't being bricked, but will possibly lose any multiplayer functionality (i.e. you'll need to use an offline local profile, whose creation is intentionally hard to do): street fighter 4, resident evil5, lost planet: extreme condition: colonies edition [19:46] none of those are interesting to me tbh [19:46] directhex: Surely some will be patched to remove gfwl? [19:46] I want a MGS like game [19:53] Pricey, some. capcom has announced 0 such patchings, other than Ultra Street Fighter 4. [19:57] directhex: 'yay'. I'll certainly be buying all of their new releases with whatever new drm they employ. They've obviously learnt their lesson. [20:18] i have an interesting problem [20:18] xfce4-terminal segfaults when you open the encodings menu [20:18] so obviously i ran it in gdb [20:18] gdb freezes the app when it crashes [20:18] so now it is frozen with the menu open [20:19] unfortunately the menu locks focus when open [20:19] so i now can't click on any other windows === Lcawte is now known as Lcawte|Away
