BluesKaj'Morning folks12:35
SuperLag:/14:50
SuperLagDo you guys working on +1 do *all* your stuff in/on the "unstable" version of Ubuntu? or do you use some stable platform somewhere, so you can still maintain a maximum of productivity?14:51
SuperLagBluesKaj: I set up a VM and tried s/saucy/tahr in sources.list... still, no luck. :)14:52
brendandSuperLag, you don't necessarily need to have e.g. Trusty fully installed in order to work in a Trusty env14:52
brendandSuperLag, chroots, vm's etc14:53
SuperLagbrendand: right. I'm considering going to LTS for my host, as kernel and nvidia stuff have broken VMware for me... which I depend on for work. I guess I'm just a bonehead for going bleeding edge. :)14:53
brendandSuperLag, doesn't make you a bonehead14:54
brendandSuperLag, unless you thought there was any sort of likelihood of stability14:54
SuperLagbrendand: I just like to have the most current Python... and you don't get that with LTS14:54
brendandSuperLag, *then* you're a bonehead14:54
brendandSuperLag, which version is that? i'd be surprised if it's not available for Precise14:54
SuperLagbrendand: 2.7.5 and 3.3.214:55
BluesKajSuperLag. try 'trusty ', not tahr14:55
brendandSuperLag, ^ always adjective, not animal14:56
SuperLagah yeas14:56
SuperLagyes, that is14:57
* brendand find it weird when people call the release by the animal14:57
brendand"i've got some problems with my pangolin install'14:57
brendandprecise! precise! precise!14:58
brendandaaargh14:58
brendand:)14:58
SuperLagOkay, okay, okay. I get it.14:58
BluesKajbrendand.well that's the reference used in the repos / sources.list14:58
brendandBluesKaj, it's used everywhere - stemming of course from the launchpad series name14:59
SuperLagUbuntu uses GoDaddy?? WTF?!15:00
BluesKajyeah , odd the the adjective becomes the noun in the usage , brendand15:01
SuperLagWARNING: Skipping duplicate certificate UbuntuOne-Go_Daddy_Class_2_.CA.pem15:01
brendandBluesKaj, when you put it that way it is weird, isn't it15:02
brendand?15:02
odiumso. my system is completely up to date, but for the oddest reason, pulseaudio is not producing sound. I launched it with -vvvv to see if there are any obvious errors,  but nothing. One other symptom is that the volume control is missing.18:37
SuperLagawesine18:38
SuperLagAWESOME.18:38
SuperLagAt this point... 13.10 is more stable for me than 12.04.3 LTS. $$@#$!@#$@##$#!@$!@# <insert copius swear words here>18:38
