theguidryHowdy, folks.  I'm running Ubuntu 13.10 (just upgraded), and I've been running GNOME 3 for a while from the PPA (http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnome3-team/gnome3-staging/ubuntu).  My question is: am I missing out by not running Ubuntu GNOME?  If so, is there a way to install it over my current distro without having to install the machine from scratch?01:07
bjsnideryou are already running it01:11
theguidrybjsnider: fantastic....any extras I should consider?  I'm having a good experience, but I just don't want to miss out on anything01:13

auscompgeekDavidBrooke: you could just use Ubuntu Tweak22:36
russsharekHi all! I just upgraded to 13.10 and my left control key seems to no longer be working. I've already checked to make sure I'm still using a English (US) keyboard, and no hotkeys appear to be set to it alone. Any idea what the cause might be?22:52
russsharekIt still seems to respond for hotkeys, but copy/paste, etc don't work. It's flashing an overlay of a "no" symbol if I press it alone.22:53
auscompgeekrusssharek: perhaps you accidentally bound left control to a different key in keyboard settings23:03
russsharekIt seems to be this bug, but I can't find a fix or workaround: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/93684023:04
ubot5Ubuntu bug 936840 in Compiz 0.9.8 "<ctrl> key now known as <primary> which breaks keyboard shortcuts" [Undecided,Triaged]23:04
russsharekIt's supposedly patched by now, but the problem appeared on upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10.23:05
* auscompgeek doesn't use compiz23:07
