[03:14] <mfisch> Perhaps there was a pressing need to be ahead of debian in this case
[03:14] <RAOF> If the Debian maintainer's unresponsive, or just plain less responsive than the person who's interested in it in Ubuntu, then going Ubuntu first while Debian catches up isn't too bad.
