RitusHey! Could somebody help me out? [18:21] <Ritus> I am trying to commit a fix but the debcommit isn't working! [18:23] <Ritus> http://pastebin.com/6HhtMgh8 I have sent a pastebin link for further clarification13:07
cjwatsonRitus: You're not using debcommit; you're using bzr commit directly.13:11
cjwatsonRitus: When you do that, you need to quote the commit message.  bzr commit -m "The man page of sfill had a 'typo,' the pural of thief had been spelt as thiefs instead of thieves" debian/changelog13:12
RitusOh okay! Thank you!13:12
cjwatsonI expect you could just use debcommit instead though.13:12
cjwatson(Incidentally, "plural")13:13
RitusBUt the simple debcommit isnt working at all13:13
cjwatsonBy the way, in future please don't ask your question three times in a 20-minute interval.13:13
RitusOh! I am sorry about that!13:13
rbasakI have a mystery "Failed to build" from a build recipe, but there's no buildlog. Any tips on figuring this out, please? It's https://code.launchpad.net/~uvtool-dev/+archive/trunk/+recipebuild/57067715:43
dobeyrbasak: only suggestion i have is try to build the recipe again15:45
cjwatsonrbasak: I think the builder died15:53
cjwatsonI'd suggest retrying, indeed15:53

Fudgehi guys, the vinux/precise-updates ppa we just copied from mozilla security team firefox 24 to rollback firefox as 25 has accessibility problems. The thing is I also copied all arch's but we only need amd64 and i386. how can I remove the others without removing what we want. Or do I need to do something different :D23:11
cjwatsonYou can remove individual binaries using remove-package from lp:ubuntu-archive-tools (carefully!)23:13
cjwatsonIt has options to select architectures23:13
cjwatsonAnd you'd want to use the -b option23:14
Fudgeoh thanks, I'll give it a go, it kind of blew out our storage23:14
Fudgecjwatson  sorry to bother you, do I need to ssh to pepo as the wiki says?23:36
cjwatsonCertainly not23:36
cjwatsonYou can't23:36
cjwatsonWhere's that?23:37
cjwatsonOh yeah, on ArchiveAdministration, "a few operations" - this isn't one of them23:37
cjwatsonI wouldn't follow that document for what you're doing23:37
cjwatsonJust go from its --help23:37
Fudgehttps://wiki.ubuntu.com/ArchiveAdministration#Client-side_tools23:37
cjwatsonYeah, don't follow that page23:38
cjwatsonThat's for Ubuntu archive admins23:38
cjwatsonremove-package --help should be sufficient23:38
Fudgethanx mate, sorry I pasted it before reading23:39
Fudgeis it possible to see an example, I am not understanding the help :$23:55
wgrantFudge: remove-package -p wgrant --ppa-name=ppa -d ubuntu -s saucy -a powerpc -b -m "I don't like PowerPC." dpkg23:59
