[12:27] g'day [12:28] Hello cub [12:28] Got to write sth in the bp soon [12:28] hi smartboyhw, running for council I see? :) [12:28] Sorry for not being available the past 3 weeks, too many tests [12:29] I haven't been around for some weeks either [12:29] cub: I don't have a high chance, I'm just trying. It isn't wrong to try:P [12:29] quite busy [12:29] smartboyhw, of course. If you'll make it though, will you have time? [12:35] cub: Yes. I shall have time. [12:36] smartboyhw: If nothing else, people should become more and more aware of you being quite reliable and hard working, which is quite often the most important charasteristics to have [12:38] zequence: :) [12:38] zequence, cub: Which subjects do you guys study at high school? [12:38] (Just asking) [12:45] hmm I'm not sure what age high school was? [12:45] When I went to school we couldn't choose much until we were 16 [12:46] before that it was just if we wanted to add another language besides English, and we could only choose French or German. :D [12:47] smartboyhw, few languages, math, physics, chemistry, psychology, philosophy [12:47] psychology knome? That would have been fun. We were only forced into Religion. [12:48] ah, religion too of course. [12:48] cub, yeah, in upper secondary [12:48] i think we had something like 4 courses of that (if you wanted) [12:48] i think one might've been obligatory [12:48] cool [12:49] I studied philosophy at university later on instead. [12:49] since we didn't get that in any school beforehand [12:49] mhm [12:49] there weren't too many philosophy courses... maybe 3 or 4, and again, one obligatory [12:57] Nobody study biology:( [12:58] ah, we did that as well [12:58] one obligatory.. [12:58] you might sense the pattern here... [12:59] What I study are: Chinese, English, Maths (Core + M2, i.e. Algebra and calculus), Physics, Chemistry, Biology [12:59] Basically full science [13:06] I majored in Music during High School. And, didn't much worry about other subjects, not even music mostly. I learned most of what I know from the city library [13:06] It's faster [13:07] Well, in some ways. Sometimes it's a lot faster if someone gives you a couple of hints, so you don't need to read through a whole shelf to find out a single idea [13:11] zequence: I learn via school library and bookstores instead [13:15] I should perhaps mention it is always a good idea to get a degree.. [13:16] Not the same thing as studying to learn something [13:30] exactly, I read a lot in my days but have no degree to flash on my CV [13:31] It didn't matter that much before but nowadays I feel that every job is asking for some kind of a degree [13:31] so if you're going to learn, get a degree at the same time...or start your own business. :P [13:43] yay, I get to go to the Internetdagarna in Stockholm. Jono is keynote speaker. [13:44] cub: Work related? [13:49] the rest of the day, yes. Incident management, so work is paying for the day [14:42] zequence, how's work going, weren't you going to a new interview? [15:14] cub: No contracts signed yet, I'm afraid.
