[00:25] I'm really sorry guys, I forgot about the meeting. I'll make a blog post about it and tie it to the loco page [20:44] evening [20:49] hi [21:07] hi zmoylan-len [21:08] all well? [21:09] life is hectic and I am sick [21:09] but life is good [21:09] and you? [21:09] sick of being sick [21:10] wanna do a 1000 things but when i sit down to attempt them find it next to impossible to concentrate on them. [21:10] :-( [21:11] limp advice but try to focus on just one small thing [21:11] hopefully if i can sort the insomnia that will end [21:11] aye [21:11] all prepared for crimbo? [21:11] you suffer from that alot [21:12] worst prepared for crimbo in 10 years [21:12] but getting there [21:12] what about yourself? [21:12] the joy of athiesm means i skip crimbo :-) [21:13] but that would be much harder with sprogs around [21:13] what about the commercial fuzzy side that has nothing to do with religion? [21:14] and you are right it is totally different with kids [21:14] the hand to hand combat in the shops? i failed the medical :-) [21:15] indeed.... that is why I always tried to have it all wrapped up by now. [21:15] didn't happen this year unfortunately [21:16] I do not go near Dublin for shopping from 01 Dec on. [21:16] was in city centre this morning. the crowds were defintely there [21:17] unbelievable [21:17] starts earlier and earlier [21:17] might have to start doing my grocery runs at 0700 or something. [21:17] recession my backside [21:18] with insomnia 4am would be better ;-) [21:18] well tescos used to be 24hour but now are 0600-2300 [21:18] vadimck_: Is the installfest going well? [21:19] and folks who did pop in after midnight said the folks there were 'special' :-) [21:19] zmoylan-len: pity [21:19] :-) [21:21] zmoylan-len: are you on for a big push for Trusty? [21:21] vUDSs, Global Jam and Release Party [21:21] that's next year isn't it? [21:21] the very next release [21:21] 14.04 [21:22] I'm hoping for a good Global Jam and a great Release Party [21:22] will have to see. the laptop that i brought to the testing of 13.10 is acting the goat. still under warranty and self diagnostics don't report a fault. [21:23] i hate intermittent problems [21:23] frustrating [21:23] too new to threaten with my hammer. to flaky to trust with much data. [21:27] buying bargains is always a bit of a gamble [21:27] czajkowski: congrats on your re-election to the CC [21:27] i reckon the brand is good. but this intermittent fault would get past most hardware tests. trying to devise a test to pin it down is not easy. [21:28] that sounds like a real pain [21:29] but it does give the grey matter something to try and focus on so it may not be all bad [21:31] for you maybe but for me it would be terminal [21:32] which is why i recommend all people using computers keep a hammer handy [21:32] :-) [21:34] haven't resorted to that yet [21:34] but have sent things to recycling long before I expect you would have [21:35] none to recently thankfully [21:35] it's for when you realise that no matter how much time and effort you put into a system it's never going to be fixed. [21:36] your hammer = my local recycling centre [21:37] but nowhere near as fun [21:37] i still swear that other equipment seems to work better after another piece is destroyed [21:39] survival of the fittest [21:46] anywhoo have to go shower, will see you in irc again. may all your crimbo shopping be painless. :-) [21:49] see ya!
