aloiecehello10:09
aloiecethe photo viewr on the web interface hasn't been working lately10:10
aloieceor10:10
aloieceactually10:10
aloieceI just discovered it's not working in the chromium browser10:10
aloieceshamme10:10
aloieceoh well10:10
jgdxaloiece, hi, what is not working?10:53
jgdxaloiece, I'd be happy to create a bug report for you if you provide me the following: chrome version, steps to reproduce, result and the expected results.10:58
aloieceok10:59
aloieceuhm10:59
aloieceVersion 30.0.1599.114 Ubuntu 12.04 (30.0.1599.114-0ubuntu0.12.04.3)10:59
aloiecelog into the web user interface11:00
aloiececlick on the photos tab11:00
aloieceexpected result: overview of photos in ubuntuone online storage in a sort of gallery view (works in firefox)11:01
aloieceactual result in chrome: loading wheel of browser keeps turning11:01
aloieceand after a while there is a notification that the service is down11:01
aloiecethere might be one more thing to add11:02
aloiecethat I'm just discovering now11:02
aloieceok no, nvm. because now I'm getting in touch with somebody, it's working all of a sudden. I swear it hasn't been working for a week or two and I tried every other day11:03
jgdxaloiece, that's okay. I'll file the bug and follow up. Thanks for the report.11:05
aloiecethanks for being open to it =)11:06
aloieceoh and since we're here: in the mac version of the desktop client, there is an indicator which files a recurrently being synced. does the same thing exist for ubuntu? does it have to be on unity? or will it work in xfce as well?11:07
jgdxaloiece, I don't know the answer to that. Maybe la_juyis or ToyKeeper can answer that when they are online (they are in the Americas).11:11
jgdxaloiece, but AskUbuntu might answer you: http://askubuntu.com/questions/15710/ubuntu-one-for-xfce-or-xubuntu11:12
davmor2aloiece: in ubuntu there is the sync indicator that covers ubuntu one, dropbox and own cloud off the top of my head.  That is available from 13.04 onwards.11:14
la_juyisaloiece, sorry, i missed the backlog. What was the question again?11:14
davmor2aloiece: if that isn't in the Xubuntu desktop you should be able to install it11:15
* la_juyis just arrived to work :)11:15
aloiecehi =)11:16
la_juyisHi :)11:16
aloiece in the mac version of the desktop client, there is an indicator which files a recurrently being synced. does the same thing exist for ubuntu? does it have to be on unity? or will it work in xfce as well?11:16
aloiecewas the question11:16
aloiecea sync indicator was mentioned but i'm on 12.411:16
la_juyisaloiece, let me find that for you :)11:18
la_juyisaloiece, there is one for ubuntu, indeed11:19
la_juyisand I doubt it relies heavily on unity11:19
la_juyisI think I used to have it working with cinnamon, but let me check JIC11:19
aloiecethanks =)11:20
jgdxthanks la_juyis, davmor2!11:21
la_juyisnp :)11:21
la_juyisaloiece, (in the meantime you may  want to start trying this http://askubuntu.com/questions/165883/cant-install-the-ubuntu-one-indicator )11:26
aloiecegoing at it11:30
aloieceI mean, I think I saw it in synaptics before and it's installed already, it just doesn't indicate the progress, or I can't find where that is11:33
davmor2aloiece, la_juyis: the sync indicator is only available for 13.04 forward there might be a ppa for a 12.04 version but I don't think it was there by default11:36
la_juyisaloiece, do you see the actual indicator?11:37
la_juyisif so, you should be able to see the progress by clicking it and going down up to "current and recent ransfers"11:38
la_juyisaloiece, in any case, why don't you please send us a mail to support, so I can get back to you later?11:41
* la_juyis needs to leave to the sprint :)11:41
aloiecesorry, yea got caught up with sth else11:53
aloieceuhm how can I make sure you get the mail?11:53
jgdxaloiece, you can use this form: https://one.ubuntu.com/help/contact/11:58
aloieceok right the normal one12:04
dobeyaloiece: if you want to use an indicator for ubuntu one ouside of unity, you need to use the control-panel method.12:33
aloiecedobey, the control panel method?12:45
dobeyaloiece: as described in http://askubuntu.com/questions/313681/how-to-add-the-ubuntu-one-indicator-in-lubuntu-13-0412:47
aloieceok the indicator that I installed from the askubuntu link worked13:43
davmor2dobey: thanks dude :014:08
davmor2:) even14:08
