DermhyeHello21:33
holsteino/21:33
DermhyeWill 64bits 13.10 work on an intel core i521:33
holsteinnothing about ubuntustudio will prevent it from running there21:34
holsteinif its a 64bit chip..21:34
holsteintry it live21:34
Dermhyeok... why is there this ...amd64 on the file name?21:36
Dermhyeand I also read on one of the pages of the website?21:36
holsteinDermhye: im not understanding the question21:36
holsteinDermhye: its a 64bit OS, so its labeled accordingly21:36
Dermhye...ok.21:37
Dermhyethanks.21:37
holsteinOH.. you mean, why does it say AMD?21:37
Dermhyeone last question21:37
holsteinDermhye: its the label.. its not excluding intel21:37
Dermhyeyes..21:37
Dermhyealright.. thanks21:37
DermhyeMy machine is a 64 bits but comes preloaded with a 32bits windows 7, will it work well if i install 64 bit ubuntu along side the 32 bits win 721:38
holsteinDermhye: nothing about that scenario will have any effect either way.. the OS's are not aware of each other like that21:39
holsteinDermhye: as far as the os's know, they are booted, and the other file system is just that.. another file system or partition21:39
holsteinDermhye: they dont depend on each other, or communicate like that in any way21:39
holsteinDermhye: the reason to choose 64 or 32 is system resources these days21:40
holsteinDermhye: if you have 2 or less GB's of ram, you likely want to stick with 32bit21:40
DermhyeThanks for your response... you have been so helpful21:41
holsteinDermhye: cheers!21:41
DermhyeI do hope anytime I come around here, I'll find you again...21:42
holsteinDermhye: if you dont, and you have time to wait, i'll be back sometime soon-ish.. or, you can also try the #xubuntu channel if it happens to be dead in here21:43
DermhyeCool...21:44
DermhyeI have to go now...21:44
DermhyeNice chatting with you.21:44
blacklighthi all, has anyone had issues with audacity on ubuntu 13.10? i've always used it flawlessly until 13.04, on 13.10 playback is just impossible and audacity goes stuck after a pair of seconds23:27
blacklightusing pulse, on console i see thousands alsa buffer underrun errors23:27
blacklightaudacity developers proposed me a pair of useless workarounds and then suggested me to blame ubuntu guys...and ubuntu guys suggested me to ask here23:28
