tacorwinis Ubuntu arm compatible with a ARM Cortex-A9 processor??20:23
infinitytacorwin: Yes.20:39
tacorwinhow can I flash it onto an android netbook?20:41
tacorwinand thanks infinity20:43
infinitytacorwin: That second question is much more involved.  Just because our userspace runs on A9 SOCs (and it does), doesn't mean we ship a kernel or an installer that supports your specific product (we probably dont).20:46
infinitySo you'd need to find a kernel that works, and figure out a clever way to get ubuntu-core on there as a chroot in your Android setup, or as the new base system.20:47
tacorwinseeing as I'm not the smartest person when it comes to the whole "replacing Android with another os", this seems a bit over my head. is there any easy way to learn this?20:50
infinitytacorwin: Mostly just diving in and getting your hands dirty.  Or finding a friend who knows what they're doing to help and/or do it for you.21:06
tacorwindoes this involve any programming, besides sh?21:09
infinitytacorwin: Probably not, if you can find a kernel that works (and if your device runs Android, then you already have one).21:10
tacorwinyeah, it runs android.21:12
tacorwinI really do appreciate all of the help infinity!21:16
tacorwinthanks!21:16
