Mez | hi all, attempting a bit of a strange setup here. I've 4 monitors, spread across 2 gfx cards. No matter what I do, I can't get all 4 working (with nvidia, it won't actually turn on the 4th monitor, and with AMD, it either clones the other display on that GFX card, or just displays the background). | 13:58 |
---|---|---|
Mez | This is using the open source drivers. If I try any proprietary drivers, I don't get a GUI whatsoever. | 13:58 |
Mez | I'm using the internal GFX (Intel based) with whatever additional cards I have around, none of them I seem to be able to get working. | 13:59 |
Mez | I'm looking for something that's going to allow me to, in the simplest manner possible, run 4 monitors. | 14:00 |
Mez | If that requires extra GFX cards/whatever, that's fine, I just want to find the simplest, most reliable solution | 14:00 |
Mez | and I guess you guys would be the people to ask. | 14:00 |
tseliot | Mez: there are graphics cards which would allow you to do that. Some AMD and NVIDIA cards have enough connectors and will let you drive 4 displays | 15:10 |
