luis_hi, can anybody help me with an issue I'm having with the grub menu?02:27
Noskcajluis_, Try #ubuntu02:30
luis_I did, but nobody answers...02:30
Noskcaj!patience02:39
lubotu2Don't feel ignored and repeat your question quickly; if nobody knows your answer, nobody will answer you. While you wait, try searching https://help.ubuntu.com/ or http://ubuntuforums.org/ or http://askubuntu.com/02:39
luis_ok, thanks...I've waited for 30 minutes02:39
jeayou might also find that there is a loco team closer to where you are02:40
jeaor are you from Australia?02:40
luis_no, but I imagined you guys are fresh since you just woke up :-)02:42
Noskcajit's 1pm here02:43
luis_my loco doesn't answer either02:43
luis_that's about the time my sister wakes up every day...02:43
blahdeblahluis_: Explain your issue and we'll have a shot when/if we're able. ;-)02:44
luis_ok, so my grub menu doesn't show the latest kernels installed; but I'm unable to run update-grub. It asks me to install grub or grub2-common. When I try to install any of these, it says I have unmet dependecies. For example: "grub-common : Depends: liblzma2 (>= 4.999.9beta) but it is not installable"02:47
hybr1d8try an 'apt-get update' - perhaps your package cache is out of sync and so it can't find suitable versions03:01
luis_I did, but it doesn't help. same errors03:05
blahdeblahluis_: what does "apt-cache policy liblzma2" show?  (Please use a pastebin to show output)03:06
