=== blahdeblah1 is now known as blahdeblah [02:27] hi, can anybody help me with an issue I'm having with the grub menu? [02:30] luis_, Try #ubuntu [02:30] I did, but nobody answers... [02:39] !patience [02:39] Don't feel ignored and repeat your question quickly; if nobody knows your answer, nobody will answer you. While you wait, try searching https://help.ubuntu.com/ or http://ubuntuforums.org/ or http://askubuntu.com/ [02:39] ok, thanks...I've waited for 30 minutes [02:40] you might also find that there is a loco team closer to where you are [02:40] or are you from Australia? [02:42] no, but I imagined you guys are fresh since you just woke up :-) [02:43] it's 1pm here [02:43] my loco doesn't answer either [02:43] that's about the time my sister wakes up every day... [02:44] luis_: Explain your issue and we'll have a shot when/if we're able. ;-) [02:47] ok, so my grub menu doesn't show the latest kernels installed; but I'm unable to run update-grub. It asks me to install grub or grub2-common. When I try to install any of these, it says I have unmet dependecies. For example: "grub-common : Depends: liblzma2 (>= 4.999.9beta) but it is not installable" [03:01] try an 'apt-get update' - perhaps your package cache is out of sync and so it can't find suitable versions [03:05] I did, but it doesn't help. same errors [03:06] luis_: what does "apt-cache policy liblzma2" show?
