benonsoftwareHi, I'm just wondering how much longer Launchpad will be in read-only mode?11:04
cjwatsonbenonsoftware: it doesn't seem to be in read-only mode ...11:07
benonsoftwarecjwatson: Every time I change someone I get lp is in read-only mode and an OOPS11:09
benonsoftwareLast one was OOPS ID: OOPS-583523795bd64e1dae9a6e336153e06111:10
ubot5https://oops.canonical.com/?oopsid=OOPS-583523795bd64e1dae9a6e336153e06111:10
cjwatsonbenonsoftware: That indicates that login.ubuntu.com is in RO mode, not LP11:13
benonsoftwareAh, alrighty then.11:14
cjwatsonI forget the public channel name for that11:14
cjwatsonSome chatter on internal channels about this - it has sysadmin attention at least11:17
cjwatsonbenonsoftware: I'm told it should be back to normal now11:26
benonsoftwareThanks for that cjwatson11:37
czajkowskibenonsoftware: it's #canonical-sysadmin on freenode12:20
chrisccoulsonhmmmm, any chance of having some extra space in https://launchpad.net/~phablet-team/+archive/ppa/?16:11
tsimpsonchrisccoulson: you should probably request the be quota raised via https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad16:36
chrisccoulsontsimpson, yeah, was hoping someone would just see the request here. it's kind of urgent16:45
czajkowskichrisccoulson: not at this hour of the day18:50
czajkowskiunless via ops18:50

semiosishi there.  my launchpad.net karma doesnt count any PPA uploads in the last year, since Jan '13.  did something change so PPA uploads no longer add karma?21:12
dobeyno21:15
semiosisdobey: thx.  any idea why none of my ppa uploads since jan '13 are listed?  https://launchpad.net/~semiosis/+karma21:22
TheLordOfTimeAbout PPAs, if I upload the same source package version with different changelog entries and versions (such as package 1.0~precise0, 1.0~quantal0, etc.), does the PPA system read that as one source package for the entire PPA, and not, say, 5 or 6 separate source packages (for the purpose of the calculatin of the number of source packages in the PPA listed on the package info page)21:23
semiosisTheLordOfTime: each is separate afaict, see https://launchpad.net/~semiosis/+archive/ubuntu-glusterfs-3.4/+packages for example21:24
TheLordOfTimesemiosis: whoops i misspoke21:25
dobeysemiosis: https://launchpad.net/~semiosis/+related-packages says you haven't uploaded anything in a year21:25
TheLordOfTimei meant for the size calculation in reference to the source packages21:25
TheLordOfTime(25.7MiB is the size of this source package, and I have 5 separate versions, and it says 5 source packages but only 25.7MiB)21:25
semiosisdobey: interesting!  i've been uploading regularly21:25
TheLordOfTime(which is the size of the one source package)21:25
dobeythough it also only shows the first 1021:26
dobeybut appears to sort newest first21:26
dobeybut that could be broken21:26
semiosisdobey: compare https://launchpad.net/~semiosis/+ppa-packages with https://launchpad.net/~semiosis/+archive/ubuntu-glusterfs-3.4/+packages (a ppa i just updated on Friday)21:27
semiosisclearly uploads are not being counted.  any idea why?21:27
dobeysemiosis: you used an e-mail address that's linked to your launchpad account, in the debian/changelog21:28
semiosisdobey: oh wow21:28
dobeyerr21:28
dobeythat's not linked, rather21:28
* dobey is apparently a terrible typer today21:28
semiosisdobey: thanks, you solved it!21:30
semiosisnow maybe my karma will be back in the triple digits lol21:30
dobeyand just as useless as it was a year ago :)21:31
semiosishaha21:32
dobeymine was over 30K at one point. but have automated a lot of what i was doing since then21:33
semiosisthat and $3 will get you a small coffee21:43
semiosisbut it's still fun to see the number go up21:44

TheLordOfTimethe PPA system won't email on a build succeeded right?22:17
dobeyTheLordOfTime: not after the accepted mail, right22:25
semiosisTheLordOfTime: thought i said this earlier but looks like i didnt... launchpad will only keep one copy of a file, so you might have several "source packages" with different patch versions all sharing the same orig.tar.gz file, which explains the size you described22:28
TheLordOfTimesemiosis: ah, that's what I thought, thanks for looking into that22:32
semiosisyw22:32
TheLordOfTimedobey: okay, thought so.  On what build state(s) does the system email on22:33
TheLordOfTimei know FTBFS and Chroot problems (old maverick emails stating as such)22:33
dobeyonly on failures22:33
TheLordOfTimedobey: so only on FTBFS, and failure-by-chroot-problem?22:38
wgrantFailed to build, Failed to upload, and Chroot problem.22:38
dobeyright. on failures :)22:39
dobeyfailed to upload e-mails are from recipes. regular dput will get an accept or reject (or no) mail22:39
wgrantFailed to upload can occur for binaries too.22:40
wgrantBut it's rare unless you're doing strange things with versions.22:40
dobeyoh, right22:40
