darkxstparin, you want to try work on the autopkgtests?06:42
gonyerequestion, can I add the gnome ppa's and get updated gnome apps while using Unity?19:02
gonyereor will I break Unity?19:03
Al1_andre@gonyere not really sure, I think you can handle it with the GDM19:45
meetingologyAl1_andre: Error: "gonyere" is not a valid command.19:45
gonyerebasicly i want to run all the updated gnome applictations, and just use unity instead of gnome-shell19:47
gonyerewondering what will happen if i add the gnome ppa's and just update w/o installing gnome-shell19:48
Al1_andrehumm, I think you want to use GTK in fact19:48
Al1_andreI would do a backup of my computer before and install GTK19:49
Al1_andreI'm now thinking Unity is GTK based no ?19:51
gonyereUnity's gtk based as well, same as gnome19:51
gonyereits just a different shell19:51
Al1_andreso you should run the gnome applications you want then19:52
Al1_andreYou can do some test using virtualMachines19:55
Al1_andrehttps://help.ubuntu.com/community/VirtualMachines19:55
gonyereeh, i'll give it a try an report back :p worst  comes to worst i'll just reinstall :p20:16
Al1_andregood luck20:21
gonyerethanks :)20:24
darkxstgonyere, previously gnome3-staging/saucy PPA would break Unity22:05
darkxsthowever, you can try test with the displayconfig package that is building in there right now, that should allow unity to run ok22:06
