Si busca ayuda en español entre al canal #ubuntu-es; escriba "/join #ubuntu-es" (sin comillas) y presione intro. [00:06] gracias [00:07] join #ubuntu-es [08:13] Hi all. I have a laptop with only ubuntu 13.10, booting on UEFI since I previously had windows (RIP). I just installed ubuntustudio but the system still boots the previous system [08:14] I could eventually convert everything to legacy instead of UEFI but since every file is already there, I would like to fix this using UEFI [08:16] I have some directories in /boot/efi/EFI [08:16] one is Boot, another is ubuntu, finally there's ubuntustudio [08:16] Boot is identical to ubuntu [08:16] should I fix this inside /boot/efi or just in my main distribution's /boot/grub? [08:16] or should I maybe ask on the main ubuntu channel? [08:17] I'd recommend it at this time of night, yep. [08:17] !uefi | Not sure if it'll help, but I'm out. [08:17] Not sure if it'll help, but I'm out.: UEFI is a specification that defines a software interface between an operating system and platform firmware. It is meant as a replacement for the BIOS. For information on how to set up and install Ubuntu and its derivatives on UEFI machines please read https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UEFI [08:20] thanks, btw it's 9am here in Italy :) [08:21] vincenzoml: linux-lowlatency is not signed as linux-generic is. Haven't tried UEFI install with Ubuntu Studio [08:22] I would recommend using legacy mode [08:22] Ubuntu Studio 14.04 will have a signed kernel [08:23] zequence, maybe I could add a boot stanza to ubuntu's /boot/grub, that would boot ubuntustudio's grub [08:24] No idea [08:25] thanks anyway === hauke is now known as Guest64671 === Siya_ is now known as siya === siya is now known as Siya_ [12:21] hello friends!!
