[01:58] Hi, I am about to install the latest version of Ubuntu Gnome and I wonder if the download is correct: [01:58] I downloaded what appeared to be Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 alpha from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-gnome/releases/14.04/alpha-2/ [01:59] but the live session displays in the control panel "Ubuntu 13.10" and Gnome applications display version 3.6.x [02:01] to be precise, I downloaded this 64bit image: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-gnome/releases/14.04/alpha-2/trusty-desktop-amd64.iso [02:05] freddi, Download the "daily" version [02:05] http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-gnome/daily-live/20140201/trusty-desktop-amd64.iso [02:06] And the live session is right to say that [02:07] Thank you! [08:53] darkxst, Is there any packaging stuff i should do that wouldn't just be easier for you to do? [08:53] And did you end up with MOTU or just packageset? [08:58] I missed out on MOTU [09:00] apparently I don't do enough non-GNOME-ey packaging, although it may have turned out different if more DMB members had attended the meeting [09:00] Noskcaj, gnome-photos and gnome-weather [09:00] darkxst, At least you got approved for something. I've taken over a month to get nothing from applying by email + i overslept the meeting [09:01] perhaps start by finding out why they aren't in debian? I believe both are in the SVN [09:01] ok, will do [09:01] but otherwise just do them straight into ubuntu as NEW's [09:01] yeh the meetings are really early [09:02] they said they were going to call for a vote on your app though, perhaps ping the DMB about that [09:02] I will probably go for ubuntu-desktop next, that will give me upload rights to most of the core packages that are not in MOTU, like gnome-settings-daemon, gnome-control-center etc [09:02] last i heard they still had someone before me. I'll ping micah in the morning === Neptunia is now known as Sora-kun [20:49] Hi! I'm a bit surprised to see today's package upgrade on my 64bit machine is about to remove libgtk-3-bin to replace it with libgtk-3-bin:i386, is that right?! http://paste.ubuntu.com/6863687/ [20:50] strange. Is that upgrade or dist-upgrade? [20:51] ronj, wait 10 more minutes [20:52] this simply happens when the amd64 build finished and was published earlier than the i386 one [20:52] ok, thanks [20:53] try now [20:53] ricotz, btw, you meant the contrary, right? the i386 finished and was published before the amd64, correct? [20:54] no [21:00] darkxst, -photos is pretty much upload ready in debian, d/copyright is probably wrong though [21:01] Noskcaj, "licensecheck" helps a lot [21:01] for -weather, the copyright problem could be CC-BY-2.0, BSD-3-clause, MIT, or GPL-2+ [21:02] ricotz, yeah. I'm trying now [21:42] Noskcaj, ok just get -weather uploaded to ubuntu [21:47] and -photos via debian, even you think it can get through before feature freeze [21:56] Hello, I'm having an issue with gedit on Ubuntu GNOME 13.10. When I enable the external tools plugin and select "Manage external tools..." nothing happens. I have googled and could not find anybody with the same problem. [21:57] Uninstalling and reinstalling the program also had no effect.
