thomifginther: I just filed https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ci-services-itself/+bug/1278659 - do I need to add any more info for you guys?00:39
ubot5Launchpad bug 1278659 in Ubuntu CI Services "Please run the autopilot-qt autopilot test suite as part of CI" [Undecided,New]00:39
* Mirv relocates to Happy Hacking Day08:07
* Mirv thought yesterday's 14h Qt 5.2.1 hackathon would help a bit, now realizes that yes mkspecs directory _did_ move..08:38
sil2100huh08:47
* sil2100 sees the smoketesting results for #174 and feels like smiling08:52
Mirvsil2100: \o/08:57
popeyooh08:59
popeynice08:59
Mirvthat's so sweet color09:00
=== psivaa changed the topic of #ubuntu-ci-eng to: Ubuntu CI Engineering Team | Vanguard: psivaa | Landing instructions: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6292280/ | Known issues: -
jibelis there any known issue with autopilot tests or phablet-test-run on mako #174?09:01
popeyIs it intentional that the order of the indicators has changed? http://popey.com/~alan/phablet/device-2014-02-11-090252.png - used to be network first, now it's location/bluetooth first.09:03
psivaajibel: doesn't look like09:03
jibelpsivaa, I get tons of errors like09:04
jibelsh: 1: gcc: not found09:04
jibeldpkg-architecture: warning: couldn't determine gcc system type, falling back to default (native compilation)09:04
jibelpsivaa, then the screen is all black09:04
psivaajibel: those messages do appear but dont seem to impact the test results09:06
psivaajibel: http://q-jenkins.ubuntu-ci:8080/job/trusty-touch-mako-smoke-daily/29/consoleText09:06
sil2100popey: not sure, I think we'll have to ask design - but it might have changed since we released indicators yesterday09:08
ogra_popey, do they stay in that order across reboots ?09:09
Mirvjibel: that's "normal", the messages you quoted, with UI Toolkit09:11
Mirveven a fully successful phablet-test-run ubuntuuitoolkit shows them (unless of course you actually install gcc)09:12
Mirvthat could be raised to SDK team, or file a bug against ubuntu-ui-toolkit project09:12
popeyogra_: yes09:14
ogra_good, something at least :)09:14
popeyheh09:15
Mirvthis day is going to be weirdly scheduled. not sure if I can get to see RMS or not.09:17
Mirvbut the high hope is to hack Qt 5.2.1 into running on device09:17
ogra_Mirv, if you cant make it, there is at least the "stallman fart app" that popey wrote in the store now :)09:20
Mirvogra_: oh it got in? I promised I can try to record more samples live ;)09:21
* popey notes it's not in the store yet ☻09:21
ogra_ah, sad09:21
popeyneed to clarify the copyright / license on the images and sounds first ☻09:21
ogra_them slacker reviwers !09:21
popeywouldn't want the FSF on my ass09:21
ogra_lol, yeah09:21
* ogra_ quickly makes some pre-meeting coffee09:22
sil2100;)09:25
Mirvdoes anyone like use Bluetooth in trusty? my headset is horribly broken, A2DP doesn't work and bidirectional breaks up continously09:28
MirvI guess I need to find some corner and use the speakers09:29
asacsil2100: coming :)09:30
asacdont wait for me though09:31
sil2100Mirv: meeting?09:31
Mirvyep09:32
seb128sil2100, can we get l247 from the landing pipeline happening? the gnome-control-center-signon, that's desktop only and it makes unity-control-center not list online accounts atm in trusty09:52
mandelogra_, do you know who I have to ping to land stuff in the image?10:04
ogra_mandel, this channel mainly ... specifically sil2100 :)10:05
mandelogra_, awesome, thx!10:05
ogra_and there is a spreadsheet you can ask to get your stuff on in a landing slot10:05
sil2100seb128: hi! Ok, let me try doing that today - we want to land the nested-mir now only, but after that is done we'll land that as well10:05
ogra_mandel, https://docs.google.com/a/canonical.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Au6idq7TkpUUdGNWb0tTVmJLVzFZd0doV3dVOGpWemc#gid=110:05
mandelogra_, great, I know that "lovely" thing10:06
* sil2100 thinks we need more CITrain bootcamps so that everyone can add his landings10:06
ogra_:)10:06
seb128sil2100, thanks10:06
seb128sil2100, it's desktop only so it should be safe for you guys10:06
sil2100Let me grab some coffee10:06
sil2100seb128: oh, I like the sound of that!10:06
sil2100:D10:06
seb128;-)10:06
mandelsil2100, yeah, I wanted to talk about the CI train with someone to get udm trunk landing, right now we have a HUGE delta between trunk and image and trunk is very stable and show be shipped10:07
mandelsil2100, ogra_ specially 'cause I have no writing rights in that thing :-/10:08
sil2100mandel: I would love udm to be in CITrain - the process is not hard, but it has some specifics that require 'training' ;p10:08
sil2100mandel: let's think of a way of landing that anyway10:08
mandelsil2100, ok, lets try to land it and then I can get the training for the CI train and we all will be happy :)10:09
mandelsil2100, my concern with udm trunk atm is that it adds new packages (a client lib etc..) and a qml plugin and I wonder if that is going to be an issue or not10:09
mandelsil2100, code is in lp:ubuntu-download-manager with inline packaging and in several ppas AFAIK10:10
sil2100mandel: let me look into that today10:22
sil2100ogra_: let's maybe land the nested mir stuff before anything else, what do you say? Since the unity8 thing still needs some time10:22
ogra_sil2100,  well, i would like to do a maguro test before we land it (at least a manual smoketest)10:23
ogra_i know michael tested mako but would like to see it working on maguro as well10:24
sil2100ogra_: ok, so then just give me a sign whenever you're ready to land it - do you have anyone with a maguro ready for testing this?10:24
ogra_i have a maguro10:25
ogra_what about the silo stuff, can you point me to some docs ? and set up one for me10:25
sil2100ogra_: docs :'D With all seriousness, not sure if Didier had the time to prepare any documentation - let me prepare a silo and check if everything is set-up10:27
sil2100As you know this is a 'temporary' solution ;)10:28
sil2100ogra_: ok, so I see that you're not added to the ppa uploaders team, only didrocks or asac can do that10:31
sil2100ogra_: in any way, you can just provide me the source package files and I can simply do the dput if no one adds you10:32
ogra_sil2100, http://people.canonical.com/~ogra/ubuntu-touch/ubuntu-touch-session_0.96.dsc http://people.canonical.com/~ogra/ubuntu-touch/ubuntu-touch-session_0.96_source.changes http://people.canonical.com/~ogra/ubuntu-touch/ubuntu-touch-session_0.96.tar.gz10:34
asacsil2100: the reason we didnt add all core-devs yet is mostly the lack of documentation10:40
asacbut we can add ogra if he is careful :)10:41
asacdone10:41
sil2100ogra_: \o/ wait one moment and I prepare a silo for you10:43
sil2100uh, ok guys, I will be offline for around 15 minutes, someone will be here to exchange my modem10:46
asacgood luck10:48
sil2100heh, and we seem to have reached the maximum number of landings that Didier assumed ;) I'll have to bump that as well10:50
ogra_ok, maguro smoke testing looks fine so far10:51
Mirvsil2100: did you need to tweak some cell formulas this time or just adding more rows or such?11:13
asacsil2100: whats that number?11:14
asac100?11:14
asac:)\11:14
asacor 10?11:14
sil2100Like 71 ;p11:15
sil2100Mirv: don't know yet, just got my internet back11:15
Mirv71 landings should be enough for anybody11:16
* ogra_ wonders why the clock test stops maliit-server 11:21
popeysil2100: 174 looks good to me11:22
sil2100popey: \o/ btw. you're still doing the dogfooding? Since I'm already confused ;)11:22
popeysil2100:  nobody has told me not to11:23
popeyi asked om26er to do it while I was at a sprint.11:23
om26erpopey, yeah I tested maguro and mako for two days in the last week while davmor2 was busy testing qt5.211:24
* Mirv has first signs of life with Qt 5.2.111:29
davmor2popey: can you have a quick test of the following http://paste.ubuntu.com/6914523/11:34
popeyok11:35
* sil2100 hates spreadsheets11:35
davmor2sil2100: use python to grab the info and ignore the SS then :P11:35
popeydavmor2: share is disabled here11:37
popeyhttp://popey.com/~alan/phablet/device-2014-02-11-113730.png11:37
davmor2popey, sil2100: I got the issue from the mailing list trying to update the image from 173 on maguro. However I've also noticed that there is no a notification on the settings page that says there is a new image available so I wonder if that is locking up the access to the file when run manually?11:37
davmor2ogra_: ^11:37
ogra_i doubt that11:38
ogra_did you check the disk space ?11:38
davmor2no but give me a minute and I can11:38
popeydavmor2: ok, i get share on one pic11:38
popeydavmor2: if i follow that process I don't see the new photo in the share box11:39
davmor2popey: yeah I clicked on the image then selected share maybe sorry about that11:39
popeygah, broke gallery11:39
sil2100FINALLY, I forced the script from the spreadsheet to update ._.11:40
popeyi have an image on screen and no way to go back11:40
sil2100ogra_: ok, damn, after fighting the spreadsheet you're free to upload now to the ppa: https://launchpad.net/~ci-train-ppa-service/+archive/landing-005/11:40
davmor2popey: yay even more broke that I got it \o/11:40
davmor2popey: for me when I press back and then click on the new image rather than the new image it gives me the facebook share window again11:42
ogra_sil2100, done, thanks11:42
popeydavmor2: same11:42
popeybut with the previous photo11:42
davmor2popey: yeap11:42
popeylemme have bug when you file it11:43
davmor2popey: will do11:44
davmor2ogra_: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6914582/11:45
ogra_davmor2, k, 12G free should be fine11:47
davmor2popey: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gallery-app/+bug/127883811:55
ubot5Launchpad bug 1278838 in gallery-app "Can't get rid of a facebook share" [Undecided,New]11:55
popeydavmor2: s/chromebar/toolbar/ btw ☻11:57
davmor2popey: good to know thanks we really should have a list of terms attached to an image somewhere :)11:58
ogra_sil2100, so my maguro tests look ok so far (and i rely on mterry having tested mako properly (at lest he told me he has)) so whenever it is convenient to you you can let it in and roll an image11:59
ogra_(i dont care if it is before or after unity, but please tell me which image it is so i can look)12:00
sil2100I think it will be before unity in overall12:01
sil2100ogra_: can you just, to make sure, install the exact version from the PPA and make sure it works on mako or maguro? Just to be sure that the thing that got built there is working12:02
sil2100ogra_: just know that it's still pending publication in the PPA12:03
ogra_sil2100, i have no mako for testing12:03
sil2100ogra_: it's built but not published, so you need to wait12:03
sil2100Maguro is fine then12:03
sil2100Just want to make sure they're the same ;)12:03
ogra_they are :)12:03
sil2100Just install it and reboot ;p12:04
ogra_done, still works12:07
sil2100\o/12:07
ogra_debdiff is also telling me that there are no differences between the deb i tested and the omne from the PPA12:07
* ogra_ crosses fingers that UTAH will agree :P 12:07
ogra_last time all tests passed too for me (and mike) and UTAH just exploded12:07
ogra_(this is why i want a dedicated image for this)12:08
sil2100Ok, so, let's publish \o/12:12
ogra_yay12:12
sil2100ogra_: do you, Oliver Grawert, pledge here that you have throughoutly tested this component?12:12
* ogra_ crosses fingers12:13
ogra_lol12:13
ogra_yes, i ran a few AP tests and did a lot of manual testing12:13
sil2100ogra_: then it is done12:14
ogra_great12:14
sil2100ogra_: (should migrate now)12:14
sil2100I hope12:14
ogra_oh, i need to kick the image myself, right ?12:14
ogra_(you cant)12:15
ogra_it is really about time you do the core-dev dance :P12:15
=== MacSlow is now known as MacSlow|lunch
sil2100eh, my roads to core-dev are busted, with the last shlibs -V packages under my name I got banned from becoming a core-dev for at least a year12:19
sil2100;)12:19
sil2100Wait until it pops up in rmadison!12:19
Laneyeww -V12:20
davmor2sil2100, ogra_: nested mir didn't we try and land this before and had to revert?  I'll have to try and remember what the issue was so I can test it first and ensure that is fixed :)12:21
sil2100davmor2: yep ;)12:22
ogra_davmor2, there were a bunch of issues that were fixed by mterry and ricmm12:22
davmor2nice12:22
ogra_the layer ordering when adding accounts was broken (kbd showed up underneath the accounts page) and a few other bits12:22
ogra_they are emostly mir/unity-mir and platform-api related12:23
ogra_all fixes are in now12:23
* ogra_ notes that in todays image the dashboard report for crashes on maguro differs from the actual reults 12:28
ogra_http://ci.ubuntu.com/smokeng/trusty/touch/maguro/174:20140211:20140115.1/6539/ only shows one crash12:28
ogra_but the dashboard reports 412:28
ogra_doanac, plars ^^^12:29
sil2100ogra_: yeah, psivaa mentioned something about it12:29
sil2100ogra_: that there is some strange way of counting crashes etc.12:29
ogra_yeah12:29
ogra_that should be fixed on either side :)12:29
psivaaogra_: sil2100: yea the total number appears to be the crashes occurred with all the runs including reruns. but the column on the right for each test will only show if the latest run of it had a crash12:30
ogra_aha12:30
psivaaogra_: sil2100: i'll ask doanac to confirm it anyway12:31
ogra_yup12:31
sil2100ogra_: still no ubuntu-touch-session in release, LP says it's in -proposed but rmadison says otherwise12:46
ogra_yeah12:52
ogra_weird12:52
ogra_there it is !12:52
ogra_seems the publisher is just busy today12:52
sil2100Can't wait ;)12:53
davmor2sil2100: I'm assuming that the nested-mir image will need testing do we know when that will land I have loads on today :)12:55
ogra_just got the migration mail12:55
ogra_should be in the archive soon12:55
sil2100popey: did you fill in that bug for indicator order?12:55
ogra_davmor2, well, mainly UTAH testing12:56
popeysil2100: yeah, and its fine.12:56
sil2100popey: excellent12:56
popeysil2100: i.e. not a bug, desired change12:56
sil2100davmor2: we'll see ;)12:56
ogra_davmor2, once the package is in the archive it'll take another hour to roll an image12:56
sil2100popey: then, in terms of image #174, we're good for promoting, right?12:56
popeyfrom my side, yeah12:57

sergiusenssil2100, why doesn't https://docs.google.com/a/canonical.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AuDk72Lpx8U5dFlCc1VzeVZzWmdBZS11WERjdVc3dmc&usp=drive_web#gid=24 say packages built?13:08
sil2100Great, my internet connection is terrible right now13:08
cjwatsonogra_: Looks like it was mainly migrating a load of KDE packages to release13:09
cjwatsonActually, not trusty release, it was a big sru-release run to saucy-updates by the looks of things13:10
ogra_ah, k13:10
sil2100sergiusens: because it's not built yet13:11
sil2100sergiusens: veebers requested a reconfiguration of the silo13:11
sil2100sergiusens: so we reconfigured and he still didn't build it (as he's not aruond)13:12
sergiusenssil2100, the ppa has a package though13:12
sil2100sergiusens: yes, the old one13:13
sil2100sergiusens: we don't clean the PPA after each reconfiguration - it would take too much time as package deletion is time consuming13:13
sil2100sergiusens: it will be overwritten after they re-build13:13
sil2100Need to reboot, brb13:14
ogra_=== Image 175 Building ===13:17
sil2100Ok, back13:19
ogra_sil2100, <ogra_> === Image 175 Building ===13:21
ogra_FYI13:21
ogra_in about 40min you should be able to resume landings13:22
sil2100\o\13:22
sil2100/o/13:22
sil2100Thanks!13:23
ogra_(i'll ping as soon as the cdimage part of the build is done, then landing should be safe again)13:23
=== MacSlow|lunch is now known as MacSlow
asacsil2100: currently we have 49 successfull landings :)13:29
asacnext one is good for celebrating :)13:29
asacsil2100: which one is the 50th?13:29
asacwhat optionms do we have?13:29
ogra_asac, autopilot or unity8 (or both)13:30
asacnice one13:30
ogra_(and unity-mir)13:30
asacogra_: right. so a silo should always get a good commit/topic message13:31
asacso we can refer to it13:31
asaclike "unity8 trunk flush and friends"13:31
ogra_yup13:31
thostr_robru: sil2100: can you guys get me a silo for line 71?13:31

=== greyback is now known as greyback|lunch
ogra_sil2100, the cdimage bit of the image build is done, feel free to land stuff as you like14:03

sil2100tsdgeos: trying to land unity8 now ;)14:13
asacsil2100: eating is for the weak :)14:13
tsdgeoscool14:13
asacsil2100: but yes, you look skinny enough to qualify :P - ogra wouldn't qualify for a food ticket based on his own assessment :)14:14
sil2100hmmm14:14
sil2100I think before publishing this one, I need to look into the bug in citrain14:14
sil2100Since we have another empty changelog here14:15
sil2100Looking into that now14:15
ogra_lol14:15
sil2100What the fuck?!14:16
=== om26er_ is now known as om26er
sil2100Did anyone touch the spreadsheet right now?14:17
sil2100It's missing like almost all entries14:17
* ogra_ didnt14:18
sil2100asac: ?14:18
sil2100What the heck happened...14:19
sil2100The whole process is broken now14:19
sil2100Fuuuck14:20
sil2100asac, robru: did anyone of you touch the spreadsheet?14:20
seb128sil2100, is that CI train?14:20
sil2100Yes14:20
sil2100seb128: do you see all the entries there? All the lines?14:20
seb128weird, it says that the last edit was made seconds ago by Didier14:20
sil2100What the...14:21
seb128is Didier online/doing work? or is anyone having his credential?14:21
robrusil2100, I assigned a silo for thostr_ ... that's it14:21
seb128oh, I guess the scripts run with his acls14:21
robrusil2100, the lander column is filtered to only show bfiller. is that the problem? i noticed this earlier as well14:22
seb128sil2100, seems to be back to normal?14:22
sil2100robru: it is? I just checked all the columns and didn't see that?14:22
bfillerrobru: I flitered it to see my landings, didn't realize this applies to everyones view14:22
bfillerthat's odd14:22
seb128bfiller, it did it seems14:23
bfillerseb128: hmnn, is there a way to filter so it just affects me? I find it quite difficult to find the appropriate entries14:23
seb128bfiller, I do ctrl-F <type>14:23
seb128dunno otherwise14:24
bfilleryeah I've tried that14:24
seb128imho they should move out the landings once they are done/merged back in trunk14:24
sil2100My ISP is really getting on my nerves14:24
sil2100Can't load anything google right now14:26
ogra_we should just go back to libreoffice and mail the docs arounnd all the time :P14:26
sil2100The spreadsheet is good but very fragile14:27
kenvandinebfiller, see line 68 there?  that includes one last fix for UAL that makes all those problems I was having in the hub go away :)14:28
kenvandinebfiller,  the single transfer per-handler works great with that14:29
bfillerkenvandine: great, after that lands then I we can land the your stuff and the click support I guess?14:29
kenvandinesil2100, indeed... i think we're overusing the spreadsheets14:29
kenvandinewe can land the click stuff anytime14:29
kenvandinethat is ready...14:29
kenvandinewe should land these handler changes separately14:30
kenvandinethe click change is low risk in the hub, just need all the pieces to land together14:30
bfillerkenvandine: ok good, what is the MR for the click stuff? I can test it today with gallery and try to get this released14:30
kenvandinegallery as click, camera and whatever else you had14:30
bfillerkenvandine: yup14:31
kenvandinehttps://code.launchpad.net/~ken-vandine/content-hub/defaults_triplet/+merge/20384114:31
bfillerkenvandine: thanks14:31
kenvandinebfiller, so whenever you think you have all the necessary components ready, get us a silo :)14:31
kenvandinei would like to land that before the handler stuff14:31
kenvandinewhich is a much bigger diff14:32
bfillerkenvandine: will do, hopefully today or tomorrow14:32
kenvandinegreat14:32
kenvandinei'll make sure i have this handler stuff polished in the next couple of days, so it's ready to land after14:33
sil2100brb, modem restart14:34
kenvandinebfiller,  this is sad... 3 weeks of work... several refactors/rewrites and this is the diffstat14:34
kenvandine 27 files changed, 460 insertions(+), 130 deletions(-)14:34
kenvandinebut it works well :)14:34
bfillerkenvandine: as long as it works :)14:35
kenvandineit is no longer as limiting :)14:35
kenvandinenext up will be adding API for registering all the types of handlers14:35
sil2100I have no idea why I have such problems connecting to overseas14:42
sil2100It's ok on my girlfriend's laptop14:42
tedgNot sure where to report it, but it seems CI Bot messed up this Changelog entry: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~indicator-applet-developers/upstart-app-launch/trunk.14.04/revision/12314:43
ogra_tedg, yes, we discovered that during todays landing meeting14:45

tedgAh, okay.14:45

bfillersil2100: for row 58 we're getting a merge conflict. I removed one of the MR's from the list but when I rebuild it's still trying to merge it. Can you reset it somehow?14:54
psivaaplars: not sure if i understand you :), but http://ci.ubuntu.com/smokeng/trusty/touch/ says 4 crashes for maguro with 174 but clicking the corresponding link only shows 114:55
plarspsivaa: ah, I thought he was saying that it said 4 in the link posted14:57

Should we remerge with the 2 first branch then rebase on trunk and propose a new MP or is there another solution to fix that?15:43

sil2100Phew, fixed18:46
sil2100sergiusens: hi!18:47
sil2100sergiusens: can you test your platform-api landing?18:47
sil2100sergiusens: we would need it to be released tomorrow so that we can unblock mir18:47
* rsalveti looks18:52
rsalvetisil2100: which landing?18:53
sil2100rsalveti: line 62, silo 00918:56
sil2100brb, modem restart18:56
rsalvetisil2100: cool, I can take a look at that18:56
rsalvetiseems sergiusens is off18:56
=== bfiller is now known as bfiller_afk
sil2100rsalveti: thanks!18:58
sergiusensrsalveti, no19:00
sergiusensI'm testing19:00
sil2100\o/19:01
sil2100Ok, this is done, now let's move further19:02
rsalvetisergiusens: alright, thanks19:03
rsalvetisergiusens: code looks sane, easy to test as well19:03
rsalvetionce it's merged we can queue mir again19:03
sergiusensrsalveti, yeah, just testing on desktop19:04
rsalvetisil2100: seems we landed location-service already, but wasn't part of ci train19:04
rsalvetididn't top approve it yet as I don't know if that would cause it to me merged19:04
sil2100rsalveti: location-service is part of CITrain already, we had to land it to fix the dbus-cpp change19:06
rsalvetigreat, let me top approve it then19:06
sil2100rsalveti: so it should be safe to top-approve19:06
rsalvetijust need a slot and then a silo I'd guess then19:07
* rsalveti still learning19:07
sergiusensrsalveti, https://docs.google.com/a/canonical.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AuDk72Lpx8U5dFlCc1VzeVZzWmdBZS11WERjdVc3dmc&usp=drive_web#gid=27 read and click please19:08
sil2100robru: hi! How busy are you today? :)19:09
sil2100:D19:09
robrusil2100, i'm ok19:09
sil2100robru: could you take a look at the old spreadsheet? The Landing Pipeline?19:10
sil2100robru: I assigned a landing for you, the description has all the details19:10
sil2100(old cu2d release)19:10
rsalvetisergiusens: done19:10
robrusil2100, ok19:11
sil2100In the meantime I'll disable window-mocker19:11
robrusil2100, i'm just gently introduce dbarth and alex-abreu into citrain for now19:11
sil2100robru: thanks :)19:11
rsalvetisil2100: just published platform-api19:11
sil2100robru: sure! And please continue with your normal CITrain landings as yesterday, monitoring things ready for release and such19:11
alex-abreurobru, sil2100 by choosing a landing silo of ... 007 :)19:11
sil2100Ok guys, need to EOD for now19:21
sil2100robru: leaving things in your hands!19:21
sil2100See you tomorrow :)19:21
sil2100rsalveti: thanks!19:21
ogra_sil2100, what ?!?19:21
rsalvetirobru: will need your help then, want to land https://code.launchpad.net/~thomas-voss/location-service/backport_dummy_location_service/+merge/20542919:22
rsalvetisergiusens: ^19:22
robrursalveti, is that in the spreadsheet?19:23
sergiusensrsalveti, need o add it19:23
sergiusensrobru, no19:23
rsalvetinops, need to add it there and then create a silo19:23
robruok19:23
robrui can make a silo once the MPs are listed in the spreadsheet19:23
sergiusensrobru, row 7419:24
robrusergiusens, ok, silo 5, please build19:25
plarsyeah, seems notes_app is acting flaky on mako - I reran it and still got one failure, but in a different testcase19:29
=== bfiller_afk is now known as bfiller
plars..and then passed19:50
veebersfginther: hey, can we remove automerger no window-mocker (i.e. move to ci-train)20:00
asacsil not coming back?20:00
robruhey seb128 what's the deal with gnome-control-center-signon? I built it in ubuntu-unity/daily-build. how should I test it? or are you confident in just releasing it?20:06
asaccan someone else reconfigure silos?20:08
asac:)20:08
robruasac, i can reconfigure silos. which one?20:11
fgintherveebers, ack20:13
asacrobru: just trying to figure20:13
rsalvetikgunn: just unblocked platform-api, so we should be good for mir20:17
fgintherveebers, https://code.launchpad.net/~fginther/cupstream2distro-config/windowmocker-citrain/+merge/20584320:18
fgintherveebers, are you working with the integration team to move this to citrain?20:18
asacrsalveti: how long are you here?20:19
asacrsalveti: robru: so autopilot needs to somehow get their landing done20:19
rsalvetiright20:19
asacin order to land another patch tomorrow20:19
rsalvetiand what is currently blocking it?20:19
asacrsalveti: they are finishing testing the silo20:19
asacrsalveti: just want to enusre that someone can a) flusht aht silo and review before landing in archive/image20:20
asacrsalveti: and that someone can reconfigure their silo with a MP that comes after that20:20
rsalvetisure20:20
asacso they can prep it and test and give didier and sil a mail20:20
asaci fthats ready to land tomorrow20:20
asacrobru: ^^ thats the above20:20
rsalvetiasac: and who is testing that silo?20:21
veebersfginther: oh, I'm not too sure what else is needed to move it to ci-train, I had thought that removing auto-merger and updating the component spreadsheet was enough, and then start using ci-train20:21
asacrsalveti: veebers and thomi20:21
asacrsalveti: so once they give a go, you can review/flush20:21
asacand reconfigure with a new MP they are prepping righ tnow20:21
robruasac, ok, so what should I do? is there a silo you want me to reconfigure?20:21
rsalvetiveebers: thomi: alright, just ping me or robru if you need any help20:21
veebersthomi: yes ^^^ :-)20:21
asacrobru: in case that second step happens after rsalveti is gone, just help them reconfigure the silo for a new MP20:21
robruoh ok20:22
veebersrsalveti: awesome, cheers20:22
kgunnogra_: hey...so can i hit merge/clean for unity8 now ?20:22
thomita20:22
robruyep, I'm around for at least 3 more hours, probably more. just ping me whenever20:22
asackgunn: is it in the archive? :)20:22
asaclol20:22
kgunnit still shows "migrating" in the xls...but its conflicting with the engineers20:22
rsalvetiyes20:22
kgunnguess we're in limbo20:22
rsalvetilemmesee20:22
kgunnor transition...20:22
kgunnxls just hasn't updated yet i mean20:22
rsalvetikgunn: installing them as we speak and will hit merge and clean20:23
fgintherveebers, in that case if robru  can ack the MP, I'm good:  https://code.launchpad.net/~fginther/cupstream2distro-config/windowmocker-citrain/+merge/20584320:23
kgunnrsalveti: thank you sir!20:23
robrufginther, approved20:24
fgintherrobru, thanks20:24
veebersthanks fginther, robru20:25
bregmafginther, what was the resolution to the problems you were looking at for us yesterday...  we haven't seen the OOM killer on Intel today at all, could it be coincidence?20:34
fgintherbregma, probably a coincidence. I did find a problem though. The lxc container memory limits were set too low on qa-intel-4000. I've set them to the correct defaults, but that shouldn't take effect until a new container is built in a couple hours20:40
bregmafginther, thanks for the update -- we also have a problem on nVidia (doesn;t happen on Intel) where input keystrokes seem to get eaten, do know who could help us investigate that?20:42
fgintherbregma, my only suggestion is the qa/autopilot team. Maybe they'll have a theory20:44
bregmamkay20:44
fgintherbregma, if we all need to bash our heads together for a few minutes, let me know20:44
fgintherbregma, this is still the issue of the mouse wheel and arrow events that chris mentioned?20:45
bregmait is indeed20:45
rsalvetikgunn: landing-merge-clean in progress20:45
rsalvetikgunn: your time to get a silo20:46
fgintherbregma, do you happen to have a test case? I've been running the test_switcher suite, but I don't really know what I'm looking for20:46
fgintherbregma, looks like http://q-jenkins.ubuntu-ci:8080/job/autopilot-trusty-daily_release/1456/label=autopilot-nvidia/testReport/unity.tests.test_switcher/SwitcherTests/test_switcher_scroll_next_show_desktop_icon_true_/ might be one20:47
kgunnrsalveti: sweet...20:47
ChrisTownsendOk, I'm here to discuss the apparent input issue on the nvidia machine.20:48
bregmarecap for ChrisTownsend <fginther> bregma, do you happen to have a test case? I've been running the test_switcher suite, but I don't really know what I'm looking for20:48
bregma<fginther> bregma, looks like http://q-jenkins.ubuntu-ci:8080/job/autopilot-trusty-daily_release/1456/label=autopilot-nvidia/testReport/unity.tests.test_switcher/SwitcherTests/test_switcher_scroll_next_show_desktop_icon_true_/ might be one20:48
ChrisTownsendYes, that's one.  Basically, most, if not all, of the failing Switcher tests on this machine seem to be where it's not doing anything given the input from AP.  I can see in the videos where nothing happens even though the log says it entered the proper key.20:50
ChrisTownsendI cannot reproduce these issues on my Intel test machine, so my theory is that something is up with input on these machines.20:50
ChrisTownsendI think the Intel machine also gets similar failures as well.20:51
seb128robru, just release it (you can overwrite doko's upload to trusty today)20:52
robruseb128, thanks20:52
seb128you're welcome20:52
robruseb128, ok, published. should hit archive soon20:54
seb128nice, thank you20:54
rsalvetirobru: for nested mir, line 71, there's no MP, ogra just pushed directly afaik21:15
robrursalveti, so you just want a trunk release for line 71?21:15
rsalvetirobru: it already landed21:16
rsalvetinot sure what happened though21:16
robrursalveti, oh, ogra pushed direct to distro?21:16
rsalvetirobru: no, it actually came from a silo: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/trusty/+source/ubuntu-touch-session/0.9621:17
rsalvetinot sure why there's no status at all there21:17
rsalvetimight be a bug somewhere21:17
robrursalveti, yeah, i dunno either... weird without a merge listed21:17
rsalvetimaybe he opened the silo, pushed the package by hand into that ppa, and landed it21:18
rsalvetiwe can check tomorrow21:18
robrursalveti, ok21:21
* rsalveti dinner21:23
=== charles_ is now known as charles
veebersfginther, doanac: Hey if you're still around.  A while back we were disucussing automated qt5.2 testing and running commands during a jenkins job22:24
veeberswhere did we get with that?22:24
doanacveebers: there's a "hooks" option now included with the run-smoke script22:25
doanacyou provide a directory, and it will execute each executable file in that directory after install22:25
doanacits run from host and you'll have things like ANDROID_SERIAL in place, so you can run adb commands22:26
veebersdoanac: ah right sweet. That rings a bell. Following that did we decide who would take on creating the job that will run the AP tests using the Qt 5.2 ppa?22:26
doanacveebers: i don't know the answer to that.22:26
doanaci could see that being my team though22:26
doanacfginther: ?22:26
veebersdoanac: I seem to recall that the CI Team would take on <something> but can't remember if that was just adding  the hooks ability or sorting out the jenkins job too22:27
veebers(I suspect that it included creating the job)22:27
doanacveebers: me too. i just remember needing to add those hooks for you for  some generic pupose22:28
doanaci would think we (my team) would create the job.22:28
veebersdoanac: aye, that sounds about right22:28
fgintherdoanac, veebers, that also makes the most sense to me.22:28
veebersdoanac: sweet. It's not really a 'new' job, should be a clone of an existing w/ those extra steps added (which has actually become easier it seems according to the email I saw this morning)22:29
doanacfginther: i almost remember an asana task for this now that you mention it22:29
fginthermy head hurts22:29
veebersfginther, doanac: Sorry to throw more stuff at you :-)22:29
doanacno worries :)22:30
veebersfginther, doanac: Have fwd-ed the recent details on how it's easier to get the qt5.2 stuff sorted/installed22:45
doanacveebers: thanks22:45
veebersnw, thank you guys for getting that sorted :-)22:45
veebersdoanac: fyi: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ci-services-itself/+bug/127501222:57
ubot5Launchpad bug 1275012 in Ubuntu CI Services "Add a job to run all the image tests with qt5.2" [Undecided,New]22:57
thomicihelp: could I get someone to take a look and see why our AP release test job is borked? http://q-jenkins.ubuntu-ci:8080/job/autopilot-release-gatekeeper/26/testReport/23:38
thomievery test suite fails with "[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/var/lib/jenkins/slaves/maguro-07/workspace/autopilot-release-gatekeeper/label/maguro-07/clientlogs/dropping_letters_app/test_results.xml'"23:38
doanacthomi: i'll take a look23:41
thomidoanac: it looks like the unlock_screen script may be broken?23:41
thomidoanac: but that might be an interaction with the AP version we're trying to release23:42
doanacthomi: indeed. the failures i'm seeing are place where unlock screen fails23:42
thomidoanac: how should I be invoking the unlock screen script on my device?23:42
thomidoanac: where do I even get that script?23:43
doanacthomi: people always throw things at me when I give opinions on this topic. but here's what we use to do it: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-test-case-dev/ubuntu-test-cases/touch/files/head:/utils/target/23:44
doanacwe copy unlock_screen* over to the target and then run unlock_screen.sh23:44
thomidoanac: ok, thanks23:45
thomidoanac: you run it without arguments? It doesn't seem to do anything for me23:52
thomiI mean, it takes ages, and writes a bunch of stuff to the console, but doesn't actually unlockt he screen23:52
doanacthomi: yeah. i think we push the file to the target and then run something like: adb shell unlock_scree.sh. let me double check23:53
doanacthomi: yep: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-test-case-dev/ubuntu-test-cases/touch/view/head:/scripts/run-autopilot-tests.sh#L7123:53
doanac"adb-shell" is just a simple wrapper to "adb shell" that catches errors from the command it runs23:54
thomihmmm23:54
thomiI'm not able to reproduce this unlock-screen issue23:54
thomidoanac: what else can I do to work out what the issue is? I've installed the AP packages from the landing PPA on my local device, and the unlock script works fine23:57
thomidoanac: is it possible it's using a different version of the script on the devices?23:57
doanacdoubtful. here's how you can re-run what we are doing from home:23:57
doanac1) grab the branch: lp:ubuntu-test-cases/touch23:58
doanac2) /me has to look closer at this job. sorry23:58
