ikoniaare they built into the application ?11:22
trung_Title bar font can be changed in KDE system settings but tab font is as ugly asever11:22
ikoniarather than a dynamic option ?11:23
trung_they have an option to change font in options but it doesn't seem to matter11:23
trung_this is so lame, I'll probably go back to firefox11:24

LucidGuyTroubleshooting an issue with my system so I decided to mv/delete my .kde folder (Wanted to start from Scratch) .. after logging back in my dual screen setup was not configured?  I thought all that info was kept withing my xorg.conf (which I used to setup the screens)15:28
lordievaderLucidGuy: It was probably Kscreen that passed the setup to Xorg.15:28
LucidGuylordievader, I don't understand.. kscreen changed my xorg.conf file?15:29
lordievaderLucidGuy: No, Kscreen keeps track of the display configuration in KDE.15:30
LucidGuylordievader, ok, I still don't understand how its bypassing my xorg.conf file15:31
lordievaderAh you have an xorg.conf file. Not sure how thing work if that exists. But it might be that KDE prefers kscreen over xorg.conf.15:32
LucidGuyI15:34
LucidGuyI've never heard of kscreen.15:34
LucidGuyFrom the sounds of it .. if a new user logs in they will also loose the dual screen setup.  That doesnt make sense15:35
lordievaderLucidGuy: What version of KDE are you running? Kscreen replaced something (cant recall what) in I believe KDE SC 4.11.x15:35
LucidGuykubuntu 12.04 .. I believe that 4.8.515:36
lordievaderLucidGuy: Oh, that probably doesn't carry Kscreen yet.15:36

trhawkHi! Is this a proper place to ask for help with some kubuntu updating problems?20:42
BluesKajtrhawk, yes20:42
W8KWA_Charlestrhawk: one of them yep20:42
trhawkmy problem: "libnss3-1d : Depends: libnss3 (= 3.15.3.1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1) but 3.15.4-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 is installed"20:43
trhawkany ideas how to upgrade this broken package?20:44
genii!info libnss3 precise20:46
ubottulibnss3 (source: nss): Network Security Service libraries. In component main, is optional. Version 3.15.4-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 (precise), package size 1265 kB, installed size 3181 kB20:46
genii!info libnss3-1d precise20:46
ubottulibnss3-1d (source: nss): Network Security Service libraries. In component main, is optional. Version 3.15.4-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 (precise), package size 13 kB, installed size 82 kB20:46
geniitrhawk: Looks like your libnss3-1d it wants to install is too old.20:47
geniitrhawk: I might try: sudo apt-get update    ... and then see if: apt-cache policy libnss3-1d shows the version available to install which the bot shows ( 3.15.4-whatever )20:49
trhawk  Installed: 3.15.3.1-0ubuntu0.12.04.120:51
trhawk  Candidate: 3.15.4-0ubuntu0.12.04.120:51
geniitrhawk: There ya go.20:51
trhawkbut how? (long day, my head is spinning ;-)20:52
geniitrhawk: At this point now, sudo apt-get upgrade   ...should put the right version20:52
trhawkReading package lists... Done20:53
trhawkBuilding dependency tree20:53
trhawkReading state information... Done20:53
trhawkYou might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these.20:53
trhawkThe following packages have unmet dependencies:20:53
trhawk libnss3-1d : Depends: libnss3 (= 3.15.3.1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1) but 3.15.4-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 is installed20:53
trhawkE: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.20:53
trhawk-f upgrade? gives a very long scary list20:53
geniitrhawk: Instead then: sudo apt-get install libnss3-1d=3.15.4-0ubuntu0.12.04.120:54
trhawk_dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of libnss3-1d:20:55
trhawk_ libnss3-1d depends on libnss3 (= 3.15.3.1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1); however:20:55
trhawk_  Version of libnss3 on system is 3.15.4-0ubuntu0.12.04.1.20:55
trhawk_dpkg: error processing libnss3-1d (--configure):20:55
trhawk_ dependency problems - leaving unconfigured20:55
trhawk_I have no idea how a newer libnss3 got installed breaking some not yet (?) configured older libnss3-1d?20:58
trhawk_genii: thx, anyway. I'll have a try with -f upgrade, and if that doesn't work I'm going to remove and reinstall libnss-1d and tons of dependencies :-(21:05
geniitrhawk_: You'll likely need to clear out the old cruft first with the: sudo apt-get -f install   .... and then re-run after: sudo apt-get upgrade ...apologies on lag, back and forth from computer21:07
trhawk_genii: no worries. thx for helping.21:11
trhawk_genii: no success: won't let me upgrade or install newer libnss3-1d21:15
geniitrhawk_: What says result of: ls /var/cache/apt/archives/libnss3-1d*21:16
trhawk_genii: /var/cache/apt/archives/libnss3-1d_3.15.4-0ubuntu0.12.04.1_amd64.deb21:16
geniitrhawk_: OK. So then:  sudo dpkg -i --ignore-depends /var/cache/apt/archives/libnss3-1d_3.15.4-0ubuntu0.12.04.1_amd64.deb21:17
geniiSorry, may be --force-depends instead, but you get the idea21:18
trhawk_genii: hurray! You me hero for today! --force-depends did the trick!21:20
trhawk_*my21:20
geniitrhawk_: You're welcome :) Odd that telling it earlier though to install specifically that one didn't take. Hopefully your system stays unstuck now!21:21
trhawk_genii: hope so, too. Again, thx alot and CU21:26
